Said when released by BOlton he would be a decent player to get on a free. Good finisher and was stupidly ignored more often than not by Coyle and on the bench. Even so he still was their top scorer and often scored from the bench... decent player.

Illness or no illness, he scores goals. Even just as an impact sub he is useful to have.

No, but.... the way he says words to the effect of "I dont mind who I play for, am just waiting for the call from anybody, not in any hurry, have been training on my own." So in other words he will be weeks behind in fitness, he will play for whoever, wherever as long as they pay him lots of money - he wd, in short, be precisely the kind of signing other fans are accusing us of - passionless journeymen looking for the last pay day. Contrast that with Mbia's quotes.

Had a feeling we would bring in another striker! Don't see a real need for it tbh we've got Zamora/Cisse/Johnson and DJ or Bothroyd could do a job as a fourth striker in the rare event that we need one!

A centre back on the other hand is something we do need! There's going to be a lot of goals at HQ this season at this rate!

They didnt do the job last season. in fairness to DJ he missed a lot of it through injury, but when he did get a chance, he fluffed it. But Bothroyd had plenty of games and was not up to it at this level.

I do agree though about the centre back position and think this will be addressed by the end of today's window.
