BOBBY Zamora has called on the QPR fans to continue showing their support for the team as the players get used to each other in the opening weeks of the season.

Zamora produced a man-of-the-match performance in Rangers’ 3-0 Capital One Cup victory over Walsall on Tuesday evening, and the former Fulham front-man hopes the impressive team display is the catalyst for the campaign.

“It’s important to remember that there are a lot of new faces in this team,” Zamora told www.qpr.co.uk. “We are not all going to click straight away, it’s not going to be perfect from the get-go. I have heard a few mumbles already but people just need to give us some time. I am sure we will come good. I just ask everyone to stick behind us.

It can be tough when there are so many new faces, normally there might be one or two at the start of a new season, but with us it’s four or five so it takes a little bit of time for everybody to fully understand what each other’s strengths are. This doesn’t just happen overnight. It’s a case of playing together and learning. It will happen and when it does I am sure we will have a very strong side.”

You definitely can mate, it's embarrassing to be honest. One of the best parts about Loftus Road can also be its biggest flaws, as fans are so close to the pitch the players can really hear everything.

Possibly, but I wouldn't bet on that mate. Players sometimes like to speak their own minds too.

Its fair comment from Zamora. Against that we will in all probability have another two or even three to integrate along with the new arrivals already here. Then Faurlin hopefully has to work his way back into it. Its virtually a new team really. Then in Jan there will be major disruption with the African Nations. Could be ground hog day as we struggle before a storming close of season that has everyone scratching their heads saying "how cd a team this good have ever been clumped 5-0 at home to Swansea..."

Indeed some do. One Joseph Barton with his Twitter account and website immediately springs to mind. But Zamora, like most footballers, seems content with being heard via such official press releases. While this somewhat diminishes his sincerity in the eyes of a few cynically-minded fans, including me, his is still a better way than posting uncoordinated personal rants

I agree it takes time to gel but I cannot believe the team are not doing the basic things like back trackingwhen defending, positional play and not being able to make simple paseses on a consistent basis. It is the basics that make a good team.
