...this has been the best transfer window ever for QPR fans.
Yes we're all greedy and we'd love a few more players in (a defender in particular) but considering where we were this time last year, it's amazing how far we have come under the stewardship of Fernandes and Bhatia. They admit themselves they're learning all the time and they won't get everything right but nobody can accuse them of not backing the manager and the club. I'm incredibly pleased to have these two on our side.
It's not just the players, but what they've done to the training ground, the plans for the academy and potentially a new stadium in the future.
They are putting the foundations in and I think this year was always going to be one of consolidation. They want to stabilise the club and cement our place in the Premier League before moving forward. We're not going to get into Europe this season and it may still be a real fight to stay up. We're going to have our ups and downs but I think we have the right people behind the club now and we're heading in the right direction. As fans we're fickle and impatient but I think we're going to have to give the club time and enjoy the ride.
I for one can't wait for Man City and to show my appreciation to the board for what they're doing. Yes we may get stuffed but it wasn't long ago that we were dreaming of fixtures like this so it's time to savour the moments and support the club.
Come on you RRRRRRRRRRRRs.
