I'm truly astounded at some of the posts and opinions on Faurlins performance last night. Whilst it was good to see him back and there were some encouraging signs it is very worrying how many fans have perceived his performance to be. Calling him man off the match is delusional , asking for him to be thrown straight back into the team is border line mental and assuming his recovery is 100% perfect is very naive. He is not the answer to our problems at present and will not be assuming he has made a full 100% recovery until probably until November/December. ACL injuries from my knowledge of football are the hardest injuries to come back from successfully so maybe fans should calm down take the rose tinted spectacles off and allow the lad the time without a burden of expectation to re-establish himself in the team.

He was very impressive last night, especially considering its his first "proper" game back and he finished 90mins. Was a tad of the pace towards the end, but his passing and possesion retention was very good. Cant imagine he will be fit or strong enuogh to start a PL game for a month or so yet though, reckon the earliest we will see him in the starting 11 will be vs Wet Spam.
MoM? No way though - that was Zamora for me, hands down. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I thought he looked the best player on the pitch. apart from last few minutes , get did not give the ball away. more than you could say for the rest. hoilet didn't beat a man all evening and looks well over weight. never said he was anywhere near ready for a premier league start, so stop preaching .

The club themselves stated the other day that in terms of his rehabilitation that 'the gloves were off' and he would now be pushing himself.....and to be fair....it doesn't really matter if we all get excited about his return.....
We don't pick the team.

I agree that he is not ready for 1st team action yet.
Last night's game in terms of opposition was more like a reserve fixture. He did well to complete the game and yes, he looked composed on the ball and all in all had a good game, but returning from and ACL injury is very very difficult. Many players have failed to return to their best, and some, Rowlands & Gallen just two QPR examples, were well below their previous level.
I think Faurlin needs a few more 'competitive' fixtures like last night's before he can even be considered ready. Hopefully QPR will get another home draw maybe against Crawley, Burton or Coventry so that he can get another decent run out soon and a few more games in the U21 league (as one of the allowed over age players). Then perhaps we can think of him in terms of 1st team football for the end of Sept of start of October.

Whilst I share the sense of caution - A lot of people have been beating off on the prospect of Barton possibly returning to reinforce the midfield...... When we have a guy who (on the evidence of last season) is statistically and perhaps subjectively superior in every way. No baggage - just consistent quality.
So if I do get a little excited at the prospect of him sitting in front of our defence sooner rather than later then you'll have to forgive me.......

90mins under his belt is obvously a huge step for him, but still a way to go before hes guna be the player he was and starting PL games for us.You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

his quality is undoubted, he remains our most prized asset. it is also clear to 99% of QPR fans that he is in fact our most important player - the lynchpin of our team, the conductor, the orchestrator that links everything. yes, agreed, he needs to regain full confidence after such a severe injury, but the early signs are encouraging, so lets just enjoy that shall we!
ACL injuries are bad, but they are certainly not impossible to return from.. sometimes the knee returns even stronger than it was previously. many many players have returned in great shape over the years. and yes, some do fail, same as any walk of life. lets just get behind Ale and see where that takes us

No need to worry about what we think on here cos it really doesn't matter what any of us think, only the club know if and when the fella is ready.
He played 90 min of football which suggest he is well on his way to recovering from a nasty injuries, it just of matter or gaining match fitness now.
I would be very surprise to see him start against city cos i don't think he played any football this pre-season but i expect to see him be fully fit by the time we play west ham if he's keep playing more games in the reserve

MOM delusional? You for real? He was by far our best player last night . I was shocked how well he played. Defo don't think he should ay vs city but I feel to come back and play 90mins the way he did last night regardless of opposition is a true mark of the mans guts and I feel won't be long before he is embarrassing many big names all season as they try and climb out of his deep pockets. And he even signed my boys shirt and posed for a pic with him, true gent but he did look totally exhausted on the warm down
