  • So ale is back...

Absolutely outstanding tonight, and clear MOM for me. Think he was beaten to the ball only twice all night, just oozed class.
SWP was very good, as was Park. Zamora as always had a bruisig encounter and as always came out on top, excellent performance and linked up well with AJ. Only negative of the night for me was Hoilett, was pony IMO and he is either a bodybuilder or carrying a bit of timber.

Solid win and so glad I went, even Dyer looked good!!

It's utterly brilliant how well he's progressing.

100% agree deepcut, was so worried that he would do a 'rowan vine' and be a shadow of his former self, but on tonight's showing (granted only Walsall) weve got our Faurlin back

We've missed him big time! Still one of our best players, if not the best

He was knackered by the end apparently. Afterwards, on Twitter, he intimated he wasn't match fit.

Dunno who you drop. Probably Diakite. Which is a shame.

Put Park in his natural place on the right = and have Ale and Diakite in the middle. Mackie on the bench as an impact sub.

This is the best option for me. Very, very strong bench with Mackie and one of Taarabt/Hoilet to bring on.

great run out for him tonight- a perfect game that has more of a bite that some pointless friendly. still no need to rush him tho. needs a cple of weeks to get his legs. delighted to have him back.best midfield we've had since ray wilkins was pulling the strings!!

Park has been our best player in both PL games so far, he is a class act and, IMO, must start.

Great that he's back playing but let's please be realistic. 90 minutes against Walsall is great for his legs and overall fitness but he will be suffering this morning and for a few days to come. He should now be rested up, given half an hour in a reserve game or two and slowly broken back into the team. Do not expect him to start against City.

Yep. The earliest I can see him starting is vs Wet Spam.

It will take some time, but we must get him back. MH has seen a less of him in real matches that we have - I hope he knows just how good he was before the injury.

Because of our awful start to the PL campaign it must be really tempting to get someone of Ales' pedigree straight back into midfield...I can see him featuring at the ethiad.

Not starting but getting a decent run out.
