fairly obvious that hughes will never take him back. after the latest bit of the soap opera, doubt tf would have him back either.
what disappoints me about the whole thing is how public the whole thing has been from both sides. someone must have been leaking stories to the press over the summer about wanting to sack barton, the squad number thing felt unnecessary (even more so to the less outspoken players not gioven numbers), barton's remarks about newcastle being a proper club, his heart being in marseille etc.
now he's tweeting links to articles about how highly paid footballers aren't really greedy and should have their contracts paid up in full when they're no longer wanted after a season or two - it's hardly subtle stuff (and, if it reflects his own view) presumably means that he's going nowhere).

Laughed hard at this move falling through after the ***** tried to convince Mbia not to come to us on his way out.
Anyone with a good word to say about Joey is a disgrace quite frankly. Vastly overpaid, hasn't justified a penny of it and has treated our club with nothing but contempt to boot.

People who have good words to say to him are not as you put it a "disgrace". They just don't conform the the bandwagon of Barton bashing like you do and can actually appreciate that at times he was very good in a QPR shirt.

Joey is not losing his mind if anything he is the exact opposite he knows exaclty what he is doing.
He manouvered Newcastle into to allowing him a free transfer, this meant he could negotiate a hugh sigining on fee, large weekly wages and a big staying up bonus and add that to the fact as he didnt put in a transfer request i bet Newcastle had to pay up a big "bonus fee" for him to walk away.
The man is now doing exactly the same to us, having a fight in front of millions, getting a 12 match ban and therefore making him useless for this season. Add that to the tweets and press coverage he is clearly trying to burn his bridges so we do exactly the same as Newcastle, that way he gets another big fat pay day, not only from the team he signs for but us, as we will need to come to some financal arrangement as he didnt put in a transfer request.
Yes he says he offered to resign after the incident and i believe him, but I bet with a big finiancal settlement condition that would have made him millions. I fear the reason why all his loans are fallin through is that we are not agreeing to pay him any compensation and in return he is trying to make life as difficult as he can so we will buckle and just say, here you go Joey just leave, like Newcastle.
Anyone who thinks differently to me is short sighted, Joey actions are the same a Tevez were, MONEY.
When we signed him i told my freinds QPR sold there sole.......... Guess what we are now dancing with the devilOne for all.... and all for one

It's clear that Hughes and the board got totally out of their depth with JB. And now he's going (possibly ;) ) when we need a fit (mind and body) Joey more than ever. They had loan options, blew them by making Joey hostage to other bits of business which then collapsed. They had the option of integrating back into the club with community work, schools work, I'm sorry I've been an idiot work, and sessions with our highly paid sports psychologist (unless he too has got the boot). If anyone running the club had even GCSE psychology they would know how to handle him. Now that Marseilles is blown - surprise surprise - and not a class defender in sight, let's hope that they have the intelligence to re-integrate him ASAP, because at this rate we're gonna need him, whether you like him or not.
For me he is still QPR and as deserving of our support as the people allegedly running the show.
