People who have good words to say to him are not as you put it a "disgrace". They just don't conform the the bandwagon of Barton bashing like you do and can actually appreciate that at times he was very good in a QPR shirt.
This must be what they call http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome .

Barton was not "awesome" in these games, he's never been anything of the sort for us. Keeping his head down and putting in 7/10 performances while other players shone isn't awesome in my book. It's the bare minimum of someone in his profession. Giving it the big Captain Marvel for him is an insult to the players who really kept us up DESPITE his best efforts.

Honestly find it genuinely staggering how many times this man can spit in the club's face and still someone will always be there up his deluded backside, all for the sake of some empty, self-serving promises about "spirit" and "passion". It's not a "bandwagon of Barton bashers" for the love of God. It's common sense clear as day. It's you lot the Barton apologists that are the sheep here.

Gonna miss your passion, leadership and aggression Joey and your spirit too as it happens! lets hope the freebies and cast off's that has been brought in can "gel" and find the same kind of spirit. We could do with a few players who hate to lose like Joey in the team.

I completely agree it's still a priority to get him shifted off somewhere immediately. I'm saying
i just thoroughly enjoyed the Marseille move falling through a day after his big Twitter pity party and "my heart is in the Stade Velodrome" and "hope to play with mon frere Mbia".

We seem to have attracted, over the last 3 to 4 seasons, a new breed of follower, I wouldn't call them fans and they're certainly not supporters. Most of these should have looked around at other clubs before coming to QPR as they would be far better suited to Fulham.

As long as Barton is contracted to us, he will receive my support in the same way that I support Mackie even though I happen to think he is not good enough. He has not, as far as I'm aware, made any derogatory comments about the club or even Hughes, who I think is now biting off his nose to spite his face. If he wants Barton out, at least find a replacement of a similar ability.

So you didn't go then? Thought not. Explains why you give him 7/10 in games where he was one of if not our best player. Am sure in the Arsenal game you gave MOM to Adel because he scored and your laptop shook as you clapped his goal. If he was not "Awesome" in the Arsenal game explain the below.....

Now the previous home game against Liverpool Barton was booed off and given all sorts of abuse. At the end of the Arsenal game the chant was "One Joey Barton " from the three sides of the ground as he walked off. Not sure that would would have been sung for a 7/10 performance do you? To go from boos to your name being chanted the next game.... might suggest he was "awesome" surely?! Again if you were there you would know son.

this exactly..... and absolutely spot on. What kind of fan looks at a players past convictions and decides he doesnt like him! He's a rangers player and has had constant abuse from supposed rangers fans on his twitter account and in the street. Then MH snubs him , gives his shirt to another player and makes him train with kids! Who wouldnt be pissed uff with the club after that. If only he had got the support...

not sure anyone is bothered about his past convictions, its his current one which annoys me as it means he is yet again unable to get on with the job for which he is paid so handsomely. its a credit to qpr fans that they are so loyal to a player - just a shame that loyalty doesnt seem to be reciprocated, judging by barton's quote that his "heart" is now with another club.

think Joey has had enough with the way he has been treated by the club and i cant blame him either if im honest. Still if he hadnt have got sent off at City......not that i am going along with the ludicrous view that Joey "almost got us relegated" and such other nonsense. We almost got relegated because for 80% of the season the whole team was dogshit and not because Barton elbowed Tevez .

Is this the same Joey who posted a photo of him getting drunk at a gig after another home defeat last season?

Oh come on you can't have it both ways, we've got fans shouting for him to be sacked, hung drawn and quartered, and then you say this,... like he's hurt your feelings, it's cause he's had enough, you can't start calling for loyalty from him now

What exactly makes you think you have a better grasp of a game in the stands than if you were watching on television? Serious question. Is it a "camera adds ten pounds" sort of thing? Is technology not to be trusted?

Or is what you actually mean that I haven't bought the right to have an opinion?

Either way I'm not seeing the relevance.

I can only repeat my assertion that Barton was not our best player in the handful of games you think justify him as a success in a Rangers shirt. In his best games for the club he was a solid part of some good team performances. He played simple balls, didn't take any dead balls (because he was useless at them if you recall), shut his mouth and did his job like a pro for a change. If that's "awesome" for you then congrats.

And Diakite was my MOTM against Arsenal by the way.

Hasn't hurt my feelings as I can't say I'm exactly surprised at how the Joey experiment has gone. As it goes I don't even have a great problem with Joey being a thug, I just find it a shame he isn't a bit more of a controlled one who could channel his supposed "passion" for the benefit of the team. I'm not completely anti-Barton - he is certainly more interesting than the average footballer and however imperfectly he is clearly trying to develop as a human being and isn't just interested in buying the latest Ferrari etc. BUT - after he was sent off as captain in a game that was to decide our entire season (because whether you like it or not the season did come down to the final game) rather than going down under the Tevez challenge and getting an opponent sent off, he didn't exactly show he had learned any lessons. he didn't sound v remorseful in tweets ("life goes on" if I remember) and even got caught up in another fight outside a nightclub. He then continued to take to Twitter. If he had apologised and kept his head down he cd have turned it round - and proved he really was a "man".

far from it being "newer" fans who don't like barton (ive been a supporter since '78 for the record) ive noticed another weird phenomenon: men - it is always men - who have become almost bigger fans of the cult of "Joey" than they have of QPR. I've no particular problem with that - we all have our favourite players - and I'm all for giving people second and even third chances. But if you take off your barton-coloured spectacles I think you will see that it can't always be bad luck or a conspiracy that leaves him as an outcast - sometimes, in more reflective moments, I am sure even he realises his own situation is of one man's making: his own. Its sad, but that's the way it is.
