Porto centre-back Rolando loan move considered

QPR have not given up hope of landing a central defender before the transfer window slams shut on Friday.

Deals for Michael Dawson and Ricardo Carvalho appear to have fallen through – but boss Mark Hughes is urgently sifting through his options to beat the deadline.

      Doesn't look too hopeful.

        Yea exactly:

“It was the plan at the beginning of the window (to add a central defender),” said Hughes. “Of all the players we wanted – it was the one position we haven’t been able to address.
“But we’re looking at it, and hoping to get one more player. I’m not sure we’ll do it – but we’re trying.”

Rolando would be ideal. He's as solid as they come.

Let's hope that we move for the more "expensive" better players now that we run out of options eh, lol.

Not being rude but we had a long time to address this. I think our signings to date are Very good, but I'll be massivly disappointed if we dot get a cb in
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Tbh dont follow European football much so dont know much about him at all, but I am always scepticle when a player is brought in from a league like Portugal, its a huge jump to the PL.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

                      Rolando

                      According to BBC

European football expert Andy Brassell: "Just when you thought QPR had signed everyone in sight, Resanenca reports that Portugal international centre-back Rolando has rejected a move from Porto to the Super Hoops. The report says that the defender simply "wasn't interested in the sporting project", though the figures quoted (an annual salary around the £1.5m mark) suggests he thinks he can get a better offer elsewhere. Turkish champions Galatasaray are also keen.

You are absolutely right Matty. Ronaldo, Nani, Meireles, Carvalho - they actually never made it in the PL.
