We have spent millions of mediocre players and where served up total dross yesterday.

Hughes claimed "we will never be in this position again" at the end of last seasons relegation battle.

    Not convinced.

He actually said the club wouldnt be in that position while he was in charge - expect him to walk blaming everyone else - if we are still where we are towards end of season

we can moan about the players not performing but at the end of the day Hughes is responsible for training and picking the players.

the last two games have been very poor, let hope he get it sorted out soon

It may not be working atm, but hopefully it will come right with time. TF has an ambition and has chosen MH to make the investments in players, and if it doesn't bring success MH will be shown the door.

                      2 things concern me.
We seem to go after players on their past reputation, and I worry that they peaked in form long ago and may not be as good as they once were. Players like SWP, Barton, Johnson, Zamora, and we now go after Carvalho and Dawson who were good players a few years ago, but now? who knows. Dawson could only be 80% of the player he was 2 years ago due to a bad injury, so I ask why would Spurs let him go?

Secondly, MH had trouble getting a very expensive Man City side to gel like a team. He could get the players but got sacked coz he couldn't get consistant performances which meant he dropped too many points to inferior teams. Maybe he isn't a team builder, or tactician, but just a manager who can attract good individual players who can't play together.

September is going to be tough with the games we have against top sides and I can see plenty of pressure on MH in about 4 or 5 weeks time if we don't pull of a couple of surprise results, we'll see.

2 or 3 more games and we'll be playing really well, just you watch.

I'm not convinced 2 central defenders are the more important than bringing 1 or 2 central M/fielders, Park Diakite isn't going to work will Hughs be allowed to replace Park with Faulin when fit ? seeing as Faulin hasn't the marketing value Park has,We have got to play for results and not worry about pretty football untill we have it right on the pitch, Derry needs to play a bigger part but at whose exspence ?.People need to get off Mackie's back and accept over the 2 games he has been our best player tho in the way quality we have dished up thats not hard
IMO we should go for Huddlestone on loan then go for the 2 central defenders

                              And me.
A total of 1 point, After games against Swansea and Norwich, is a poor start to our season, and one I never dreamt two weeks ago we'd be enduring.
