Douglas Adams was the greatest person to ever set foot on this miserable planet.

The thought that there will never be another new Douglas Adams book to look forward to is depressing.

Green 6- An average game from him. A bit nervy and doesnt instill me with confidence just yet. Not the most vocal of keepers, it looks like.
Traore-5 Not a defender for me.
Fabio-5 Dreadful first 45 minutes but improved "vastly" lol.in the second. Showed some steel, which he has to if he wants to follow in the path of his brother.
Hill- 2. Oh dear. Why does he have to use his arms in defending all the time? But I think he feels the pressure with having a huge responsibilty for the result ATM. Too slow for the premiership. Will he ever come back as a CB?, I doubt it, which is a very sad thought.
Ferdinand- 4. Improved alongside Iffy. But do also suffer from "the Mackie desease". Lacks vision and abilty to mark his man.
Iffy-7 Very good today as a CB. Very direct in his play, wich was needed today.
Bosingwa- Didnīt play much but he looked the part.
Diakite- 4 Didnīt find the rhytme. Seems to miss Faurlin. I regard Diakite more as a box to box player.
Park-6 A classy player. But I rather have him on the wing. Not captain material for me, though. Can only imagine how well he would played if the team had gelled already.
Hoilett 5. Same as Diakite and Park. Was a bit anynomuos today.
Makie 3. Basicallly useless today. A supersub, but nothing more. The king of blind alleys.
Zamora 6. Scored a goal and very much on the alert as a link up- player.
Cisse 2. Clearly not on form. Didnt even bother to get out offside. He should have got better service, but his attitude is not exciting to watch at the moment. Where is the guts?

agree with these two, Diakite was class last season but he lined up next too derry who held his position all game long allowing diakite to be more mobile and play as a box to box player.

Mackie is a good sub to come on and run a defender ragged, theres no questioning his effort but his ability is lacking (i personally felt we should have taken the 3.5 mil from blackburn and run but i know a few would disagree on here) i still feel our midfield should be: hoilett...Diakite...Derry...park with taarabt just in front and zamora holding the ball up for them. as good as cisse is he just hasn't hit that same form he had last season yet and might benefit from coming into a game late and grabbing a few late goals when the defense are nackered to boost his confidence again.

Before I even read through the list I knew Park would have the highest rating of the lot.

Oh boy, Mackie is a very difficult player to rate, if I may say so. ATM, I would also like to see Derry in midfield. Regarding Tarrabt, he let himself go too deep against Swansea. Cisse is clearly not on form, but we are going through a huge gelling period obviously, and I fear that Cisse will react very harsly if he is benched.

Personally, Iīm very satiesfied with the point we got today. Hopefully SWP will also get the chance to "shine" against City.

Samba has never played alongside Ali. Ever.

Spot on, always Derry, Barton or Akos.

But at his best with a holding midfielder.
