Our midfield will score plenty of goals too, just ask Routledge.

No need to panic, just yet.
just ask ledesma about scoring goals against lower league opposition.

not likely to come from taarabt as he is not a striker.

heider has scored one from 40 million chances so far

    we need a striker

Helguson will score goals. Tarrabt will score goals.

Amoebi scored 3 today and I guess he is now a world beater???

I say it again for hard of hearing, a goal paocher today would have made no difference, we never had anything around the 6 yard box.

The clear chance Helguson had, he scored. Vine had one chance and missed, but he done well to create the chance in the first place.

Thanks good report. You say Hall did well - is Connolly now second choice? Even if Jim doesn't want him in the centre you'd at least think he cd get one of the full back births.

I think you could play any combination of our defenders and they wouldn't concede too many.

              Middle needs looking at.

Front two favoured seem to be Helguson and tarrabt

cannot understand the changing of the back line....should have just been borrowdale in for delaney....the rest left alone....Hall is rubbish....

as for the favoured front 2....won't hold my breath for a lot of goals then.
and if they are i start to wonder about JM's judgement.

Pete the 1st line in your opening post sums it up "We've drawn two games that we should have won".....

I tell ya i hope the team start clicking into gear soon, cos come then end of the season those 4 missing points could prove to be a very large downfall for us.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Regardless of how we do between now and May we will still be short of 4 points that we really should have picked up this week.

Thats football, it does seem we are creating a bit more but still no goals from our illustrious midfield and 1 in 2 games from our strikers and then we go and do a de canio like last minute concession.

We need to sort it out sharpish if there is any serious thought of the play offs
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

Newcastle have 4 points after playing two of the teams tipped for promotion this season, we have 2 points from playing two teams tipped to be near the bottom. You are starting to sound like a cross between the Comical Ali (iraq minister of information)and Captain Mannering out of Dads army.

                            these are the "facts"

13 shots on target = 2 goals, 32 shots in total in 2 games, that suggests to me that we are not very good at scoring goals

Last season we started with a win against Barnsley and got stuffed at Sheffield United. 3 Points from 2 games, this season we have two. By mid September we were 4th in the league.

If, I came on here and said Swansea were going to get relegated because they have lost 2 games, I would be told I was being stupid. Quite rightly so.

We are playing attractive football, should have won. Have to learn from this game and try and beat Bristol City. We've not even ended August and many are writing off the season already, it ends in May.
Playing attractive football doesn't win you games end of. We need GOALS! I don't care how we play I just want goals! :anger:
