Hughes looked downbeat about Dawson, the personal terms bit sounded ominous.

Mbia news also doesn't sound promising. QPR should be bidding to buy him outright and not have to hope that Marseille take Barton.

What a surprise that people jumped straight on the Dyer comments and started to dig him out. Honestly, some of our fan base is really quite predictable :rage:

No one is digging him out, just having some fun. I've posted many times praising Dyer's attitude, and how much I rate him as a footballer.

I could myself say, "Oh here we go someone making a snap judgement on one performance or post judging them and damning them by that alone. Typical WATRB poster." But that would neither be nice, or accurate.

It tends to negate the positive comments about his attitude at the very least. quite right - as predictable as someone mentioning inbreeding, six fingers, farmers, (the list goes on), when there is a thread about Norwich City ...you just know its going happen, just as night follows day!!

The important point of the interview is that MH said he always intended signing two goalkeepers.

It seems we have different ideas on what 'digging' someone out is.
If I was to cast doubt on his commitment or performance, that I would believe would be criticizing him.
I think if you go back through my posts over the years, you will find it very hard to find me 'diggin' a player out.

Here's what I heard...

- Players will be coming in and more will be going out.

- Deal is not dead with Dawson but there is an issue over personal terms. Sounded like a watch this space thing!

- Murphy will be going out on loan if we get another keeper in.

- Talked about Kenny. End of the matter now. The club had spoken to Leeds about it and that's it. There was messages sent to MR and the club wasn't happy about it

- There is interest in DJ but nothing concrete. Still very much a QPR player.

- Spoke of Barton and the interest is still there from Marseille. But he hasn't heard anything in the last few days about it.

- No injuries for tomorrow six finger crunch match apart from Faurlin and Dyer. The response from the players in training has been very very good and he expects a reaction this weekend.

- Every player we look to sign is to make us more competitive and to keep moving forward. There are still players he hoped to come in which he wanted before last weeks game that he still hopes to bring in but we'll have to wait and see.

Agree. He can't say " None of realised how big the hole at the back was and now we're desperate for a quality CB, which in fairness, should have been the focus of my summer. And erm looks like we need a GK too...."

No, it wouldn't be accurate, as not all WATRB posters are the same. As there have been many disagreements based on people as you say "digging people out".

As to my comments, they're making fun of the idea that Dyer is in fact "made of glass" and are not directed at Dyer himself. So, how they can negate my positive feelings about Dyer, are complete nonsense. Indeed, humour is often used to deflect negative words and attitudes making the joke a mockery of itself.
