I think we all know that.

People who talk about us being risky with wages etc need to actually thin kfor a second... Wages are ammotised over the length of the players time with us, and irrelevant once sold if that is the case. People say we're living dangerously.....

However, you have clubs like Sunderland reportedly about to pay £15m for Fletcher....!!! and West Ham about £12m for Jarvis..... also bear in mind what other clubs do, such as Wolves buying Fletcher for £7.5m in the first place, Doyle for £9m and Johnson for £7m.... Stoke paying about £10m for Palacious who doesnt even play etc etc etc etc.....

Compare those players to the likes of Hoilett we got for free, Cisse for £4.5m, Diakite for £3.5m, Park £2m, Bosingwa, Nelsen, Johnson , Green on frees.... we are being anything but stupid with the financial side of things. Yes we may offer more than some in wages, but when we've not spanked an extra £5-£10m on the signining itself we can comfortably do so.....

I have every faith in the board.

Not to mention the release of a load of players who were on PL wages despite not being in the squad. I was listening to one of the big (if not the biggest) football podcasts and they were discussing QPR's transfers, talking about us as if we had spent more than every other team in the league. I wish they'd do their homework on these things.

Yes, the team is fantastic. To have such a fantastic team and lose 0-5 at home to a team not stronger than ours - truly fantastic.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

im sick of everyone going on about how much the players are on... Its not like TF has said here you have as much as you want, he will obviously have a budget and i cant see it being more than 30 at a push

Sack the manager, sack the board. Swansea games not good enough - I want them all out. Not allowed a bad day at the office, we pay too much for that, I want a win every game. :yush:

That's you then, for me it would have been understandable to lose by a goal or two to an average team like Swansea - or to be utterly humiliated by a top team. That would have definitely been just a bad day at the office. But to be utterly humiliated like this by an average team is just too strange. I fear we will see more of this strange stuff and soon no one will use the "bad day at the office" excuse anymore.

Makes Saturdays game intriguing as Norwich are one of the favs for relegation?! They could (fingers crossed) be on the end of another spanking!

It looks far worse as a result that it does if you look at the performnce and stats.

QPR could have scored a few goals in that game too. However, poor finishing and good goalkeeping kept QPR off the score sheet. Also, some of their goals were down to individual errors, i.e Green 1st goal. Fabio's attempted pass being charged down, Hill missing the ball, and Onouha's poor pass for the
                        5th.

Oh and let's remind ourselves what happened last season. The side that beat QPR 4-0 on the opening day at Loftus Road, went on to get relegated.

The truth is, games like this one happen on a frequent basis on the opening day (maybe not by the same scoreline, but they happen. Didn't Blackpool win at Wigan 4-0, or some years ago as reigning champions Arsenal lost 0-3 at home to Coventry to a Quinn hat-trick and a few seasons later 4-0 at Old Trafford.
Another blip saw Millwall kick off a season by losing 6-0 at home to newly promoted Rotherham who went on to get relegated.
I still recall QPR kicking off the 76-77 season with a 4-0 loss at home to Everton.
These opening day results really don't mean a great deal as many sides are still getting used to each other after new signings or are still in some sort of pre-season mode.

Norwich lost 7-1 to Colchester, then nicked their manager and got back to back promotions followed by staying in the prem...

Yes, that's another opening day disaster.

Before we had the Internet and SKY TV, the league tables were not published until after at least 3 or 4 games were played. Now they are up after the 1st game has ended - usually a match before other games kick off! I'll be worried if QPR continue to fail to win games.

The only real concerns I have right now, are the lack of younger players being signed and a lack of pace in the defence. A few older players are good, but to have a side mostly made up of the likes of Green, Nelsen, Carvalho, Hill, Park, Cisse, Zamora is a bit worrying. Especially alongside inconsistent performers like Onouha, Ferdinand, Mackie and Taarabt, although perhaps the experienced players will get more consistency out of these.
But I would still like to see QPR sign a few more younger players i.e. Rhodes to eventually take over from Cisse and Zamora.

They are getting young and old for a decent mix. As for a striker, hopefully we will sign that prospect form Young Boys (Mayaka is it??) who i would prefer to an unproven at a decent level and overpriced Jordan Rhodes.
