well over a 100 appearances for us and was an important first team player in our championship winning season - he did well and good luck to him.

I thought he was quite good and unlucky not to have been given more games last season. Onouha has often been awful and has made a number of errors that led to goals, including two deflected own goals. Connolly couldn't have done much worse.

Good luck to him Helguson and Smith if he joins at Cardiff..although I still dont want them to win promotion.

Connolly cuts his QPR losses leaving potential unfulfilled

QPR today confirmed the departure of 24-year-old Matthew Connolly to Cardiff City on a three year contract while at the same time pursuing the signature of 34-year-old Ricardo Carvalho on loan. Sigh.

Always felt he had the potential to succeed he was rated at Arsenal and looked good at times for us. He may have come on more playing with a decent experienced centre back. Good Luck Matty with the rest of your career.

Probably not the best coaching staff here to take his career forward after coming here from the gunners.

The coward that is Colin Warnock destroyed that lads confidence, he nearly did the same thing to Troare and Fraulin by publicly dressing than down, while bad performances by Barton and SWP where never commented on, it's possible if he was harder on JB in the beginning he may have turned out differently?
              Kept the faith!

Clint Hill is another example, he gets sent off and is shipped on on loan, JB heatbutts a Norwich lad and gets his backing?

Trying to play Devils Advocat here, we signed Young & Traore and then sent Hill on loan. Im pretty sure its nothing to do with the fact he got sent off, Warnock likes Hill.
Also, regards "would JB have turned out differently", I highly highly doubt any manager, let alone NW (a man I got the impression had zero respect from JB) wuold be able to "tame" JB - he loves having the headlines and attention on him.

Have to agree with you though regards NW shattering Connollys confidence, Im a Connolly fan tbf, think he was a very talented, ball playing defender that, unfortunatly, hasnt quite lived upto his full potential. Cardiff got emselves a very good Championship defender IMO.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
