question marks over fernandes vision of our club

maybe but it is a concern as a lot of these older players who have brought in big wages have not delivered so we are now having to replace with even bigger wages. You would have to be a little naive not to be concerned. Not sure where we stand with TF on one hand you feel like he is trying to push us on, However at the back of our minds we should question why the team he supports would not sell to him.

Seems to me to be sticking the boot in for the sake of it mate.It doesn't mention Faurlin, he's not over 30. The thing I would ask the journo is are you a foolham/scum fan?, and do we try to get players in to do a job for QPR, or just buy players so we can sell them on for profit?, been there done that for years. Luke Young, SWP, Barton, Dyer were all signed by Warnock as was Bothroyd, and DJ so bit unfair to quote MH after the last game at City, and then list all these players as if he was responsible for them. I have had my doubts over the AJ and Nelsen signings but you have to let the manager manage, and no fees were paid so we'll see.Last edited by QPRDave; 22-08-2012, 10:30 PM.

Well when you look at the players we purchased we didn't buy value for money. Also you have to look at money spent vs quality of the player.
I think he's trying to keep us in the premiership the best he can, plus they are aiming for a europa place so lets not get too hasty and see where we end up by march/april.

The only problem we have is we have signed a certain type of player and yet look to be in the market for more carvalho being an example. All the signings have been good players for previous teams not sure we are getting that at this stage of their careers. Granted Hughes did not sign them all but TF was in charge when all were signed.

I'll say again do we buy players with the sole intention of selling them on or do we let a manager buy players in their prime?

But if we heard TF was telling our manager whoever he is who to sign then he would be accused of being like Tango

I dont see the point in getting our knickers in twist over this is gonna help! Sure the one big bad demon that lurks in all our minds is what happened to portsmouth, im just praying that doesnt happen to us! Having said that we have played one game so its a bit early to panic yet! At the momment i trust tf but that dosent mean i wont keep an eye on him and it dosent mean that fans who question him should be sidelined either!LONDON CALLING TO THE ZOMBIES OF DEATH.... mixture of youth with potential Hoillett being a great example and experience maybe Park. A big problem we have is the teams we sign these players from most of the aging player are either coming from top end of the table teams or players who when bought by their last clubs were bought for fairly big transfer fees.

I am not disagreeing with you. The players he mentioned are the players signed since Fernandez took over. However he failed to mention.
1) The aim of the previous owners was to get us into the premier league and then sell the Club for as much as possible.
2) They achieved this, however while doing this they did nothing to develop the Club and a large number of players were really only of Championship standard and also on high wages
3) He (TF) took over the Club at the beginning of the season with only two weeks of the transfer market left. He probably had very little idea of what was needed at this time.
4) In a rush to sign players by the deadline, some poor decisions may (and I say may) have been made.
5) By Christmas he did not feel Warnock could keep the Club in the premier league and so he brought in MH.
6) Again MH had couple of weeks to bring in new players. Also it was January and transfers are always difficult at this time.
7) During the summer time MH has brought in some useful additions to the squad. We (and I am sure MH) knows that we need defenders and he has been working on this. I am sure that this is never easy because good defenders seem to be thin on the ground.
I think they have been bringing in older players (a lot for free and some on loan) because hopefully they will be playing until the Club has had a chance to develop their own talent, which is how the Club existed in the past but has been sadly lacking in recent years.

All very good points unfortunately the mistakes that have been made look like they could be made again and soon and they would not make any sense at all. Barton should be the benchmark in when dealing with any transfer at all. Long term contract on silly money and not a cat in hells chance of dumping or selling him.
