he's banned for 12 games,he don't have a squad number,didn't go to pre season tour,forced to train with youth team,fined for weeks wages,he's career is on the line and he's biggest problem at the moment seems to be that people call him Joey.

I don't think anyone thinks that he's a bad player (and he can be a very, very good one), but I just don't think he's worth the effort. The negatives far outweigh the positives. He was anonymous for large chunks of the season, and downright stunk the place out on a few occasions. He improved after a public humiliation, and then still managed to spoil it by losing his temper violently, again.

I don't think anyone thinks that he's a bad player (and he can be a very, very good one), but I just don't think he's worth the effort. The negatives far outweigh the positives. I think people sometimes conveniently forget his time with us in preference to suggest he's been the "bad boy" everyone would like portrayed. Since he joined us, he has been very restrained and not let himself get riled but opposition players trying to do so, and the ONLY incident was at City. Before then there was no blot on his QPR copybook. He was sent off against Norwich ridiculously, and other than that nothing other than a few poor performances mixed in with some very good ones, including City whilst on the pitch.

We all know he lost it, but i think that's because the penny dropped about what he'd done and the occasion, risk of going down etc.

I perosnally hoped we'd loan out til Jan and then welcome him back as he can be a very good player for us, but it would appear that is unlikely.

If a violent loss of temper was unprecedented before he joined us you might have had a point. Unfortunately his personal and football career is littered with them. You cannot just take him on what he has done here, much as that might simplify things.

Could have done but history shows he didn't - so many grotesque exagerations of the actuale when it comes to Joey/Joe/Joseph - we could be 4-0 down in the champions league with 5 minutes to go then he scores 5 in the remaining time (including injury time) and there would still be someone saying he should have passed to Cisse for the winner....

End of the day, on balance, do we need someone to enforce despite the attendent risk of being sent off, mouthing off, twitter.

Of course we do, we've stuck with minimal defending capability and an iffy keeper. I don't care what he says on twitter, I don't care what he calls himself, all I want to know is can he do a job. The answer is obviously yes.

I don't judge players on their intellectual capability or moral philosophy. I judge them while they wear the shirt.
