But losing the ball cheaply when the team is pushing up is dangerous, which is one of the reasons that led to us being thrashed. Not just down to Tarbs, but he's very much as culpable as the defence and Green imho.
Eh? What Dream team do you do that gives you points for that?

      Yahoo! Sports.

For example, Cech and Tevez are in my team and both got 20 points for their performance, Tarbs got 12. Lukaku only got 10.5 and he scored.

It's a nice system, better than the simple goals, assists, clean sheets, time played which is how most other ones do it.

Arr right fair enough. I'm only in The Sun one and I've got a grand total of 2 points so far....

Cisse was in a bad mode due to the tactics on saturday. He missed Zamora who was injured. I really rate Tarbs, but he didn´t really want to pass the ball. That´s Cisse AND tarbs in a nutshell.

At last we have conclusive proof, that cannot be refuted, that Matty does not actually know anything about football. :pleasantsuprise:

Haha, wish I had a leg to stand on to argue that! I'm useless at thsoe Dream Teams, way too impateint I just run through and quickly pick out 11 players that fit the budget and thats me done. I went for:

                De Gea
                Agger Kompany Coloccini Kaboul
                Lucas Diakite Yaya
                Rooney Podolski Tevez

Tarbs is clearly a very gifted player... the Championship winning season tells you all you need to know about him.

However, he shines when we are in control of a game.. in the Premiership thus far.. he has yet to prove that he can get us control of the game...

In my humble opinion of course...

Thing is though, if Adel is playing well or playing badly he is always involved. He constantly wants the ball and looks to make things happen. So despite not playing that well Saturday, he was still invloved all the time and tried to make things happen. It did not work saturday, but given how much time Adel spends with the ball at his feet it could well work the next game. If Mackie has a bad game for example like saturday.... he is non existant and a total passenger. He also would never look for the ball as much as Adel does. And he nowhere near has the skill or ability to create a chance out of nothing or pick a wonder pass.

This is why Adel is so well favoured and people want him to play even if he plays badly. He never hides, is always involved and always trying to make something happen and he has the potential to do it.

You can say what you want to convince yourself Adel is the real deal, but remember last season we laughed at Swansesa players who had all the ball and done f-all with it, so can you explain this simple, unarguable fact from last season.

Adel - 2 goals and a couple of assists.
Jamie - 8 goals and a couple of assists.

You can say what you want but facts speak for themselves.

I don't think he is the real deal. He has the potential to be. Just giving a potential reason as to why people always try and accomodate him in the team.

And facts do not tell the full story. For example last season SWP 7 assists ( the most by a QPR player last season ) and Mackie 4. Does that mean SWP should play over Mackie because he got more assists?

Of course SWP should not start ahead of JM, as JM has consistently produced the goods, something a few on here cant get to grips with. Hopefully you would agree that you should always start with your most effective team to win a game, and unfortunately, our PL survival cant be based on someones potential.

To highlight what imsaying, have a look at the following (assuming all are fit), I bet the only one you can say is Adel should play ahead of JM, even though Adel has not played that position in the PL and JM has returned better than average stats in that position.

CM - two from Faurlin,Diakite, Park and Adel
                          LW - Hoilett or Adel.
RW - Jamie Mackie, SWP or Adel.
Behind Cisse - Zamora or Adel.

Marmite is the wrong word to use, because no one hates him (i know that's what a few of the more excitable people on here say, but that's down to their age and poor choice of words), I think the correct word would be Adel 'the frustrating qpr legend' Tarabbt, as everyone wants him to do well (including me), but for what ever reason, his decision making process 90% of the time in the PL is the wrong. On the odd occasion he kept things simple last year, he was superb.
