  • Trying to find a positive spin on things....

It was a shocking day at the office for everyone on Saturday, some more than most.

For those slating Green, yes he messed up and cost us a goal... 1 goal, just like onouha by gifting them posession for the 5th, Hill for his laughable attemp to cut out that pass and Mackie for missing an absolute sitter from 6 yards.

Let's get off his back and hope he settles and improves, i'm sure he will. I actually think the Euros may not have helped because for reserve keepers, they must go through the motions and be in bit of a trance like state through the summer knowing they aren't likely to play any minutes. Anyway, he needs to wake up and sort himself out, which i think he will.

    Positives....?

It will be a massive kick up the proverbial and the team and fans will stop assuming we will be fine as we have new players. They need to work hard and become a good team, which tales time and not take anything for granted.

MH and the owners will surely focus their search for a quality CB, which we desperately need. It's a shame Nelsen was sidetracked with the olympics meaning he's had limited time with our squad, but i'm sure he will play at Norwich as is exactly what we need at CB - commanding and quality. If we could add Mbia possibly, or for the fantacists, Samba, then happy days.

We can only improve, and will.

Positives: I get the same feeling when Hoillet gets the ball as I get when Adel gets it- anything can happen.

I thought Hoillet played very well, and I also thought Park did as well. Problem for us was conceding so early against as side who retain the ball so well, and in that heat. I did actually say before the game we mustn't concede early against Swansea as they will just shut up shop, unfortunately that is exactly what happened and then they just wore us down.
Unfortunately the game we played against them back in April was in the evening so we were able to shut them down far quicker but in the heat of saturday that just wasn't possible.
I am not overly worried just yet as I think we are much much better than the scoreline suggests, even with no more signings, which I am sure won't be the case anyway.

well norwich shipped 5 as well so at least we have some similar company at the bottom at the moment. just goes to show how unpredictable it can all be eh. hoillett and park stood out for me, there is a bagload of potential there. days like saturday for us will be the exception rather than the norm once we get going.
            come on you r's!

              Positives: Hoilett & Park

Negatives: Team performance, Formation & tactics, naievity of some players, woeful woeful defending, fans reaction, the fact that Hughes has still not established a tight defense and the fact that we completely gave up after going 2-0 down.

Difficult to find a positive to be honest.

People who think Nelsen is the answer need a reality check. Don't get MH, he's strengthened our forward line and midfield, when from our performances at the end of last season it is our defence that just ain't good enough. Hill, Ferdinand and Nelsen are not good enough, maybe cover but not first choice. Onuaha is getting worse each game.

Bosingwer (or however you spell it!) is a very good buy but Fabio showed exactly what he is - a poor 2nd rate defender not even good enough for Man Utd's reserve team. If he was any good SAF would not have loaned him out. To get his brother, SAF had to take them both.

One positive though - Green got exactly what he deserved, a pasting from those in The Loft!!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

                  Proud of that are you?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Unreal aint it - that sort of comment cmoing from 1 of our "fans" about our keeper on his league debut. Jesus wept.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether it agrees with your view on what a real fan is or not.

Or drink orange juice any sooner than an hour after brushing your teeth. Tastes rank.
