  • I'm confused

Ive seen people refer to the team needing to gel

I've seen the same people then say we need another 3 or 4 players

I saw a lot of posters on here slagging the hell out of Bobby Zamora last couple of months

Now I see the self same people saying the reason we got hammered yesterday was that BZ wasn't up top with Djib

Over the summer 99% of posters here thought Mark Hughes was a tactical genius who had identified and landed some good transfer targets and the whole club was on the up on and off the pitch

Now I see almost 90% of those people actually think he's a tactical numpty and the squad is woefully short in key areas

I agree having Chris Samba in our ranks would've been lovely but even he may have struggled to carry 6 under performing players yesterday

I'm not reaching for the panic button yet.

Looking forward to Norwich away now
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Totally agree. Fans are fickle. Live and die by the last result. Which is understanadble considering how much better I feel when we whin than lose.
Lets just hope the owners are more long term thinking.
Ill stick my neck out here... and not withstanding a disaster... would be happy to give Hughes the job almost guranteed for the next 5 years minimum to build a serious squad

I like all our new signings. They need time. We started the game on Saturday like Brazil and looked like we would win comfortably. I think we have a solid foundation upon which to build.

The defence is anything but solid. Nothing much seems to have changed from last season.

QPR conceded 4 against Bolton, 6 against Fulham and Chelsea, 3 againts Spurs, Man City (twice), Sunderland and Blackburn, plus 2 in a lot of other games, Stoke, Bolton, Liverpool, Norwich (twice), Wolves, Man Utd (twice), and Wigan.

Ferdinand is vastly overrated by many fans. He doesn't dominate in the air, lacks organisation skills, his position is not always good and yet some think he should be made captain.
Onouha is another who is overrated, but I guess being switched from RB to CB and then RB again is not helping.
Fabio is right footed and doesnt seem to be able to use his left to play football with, so why is he playing at left back. I'd rather put Hill back there.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Zamora is inconsistent. We need a CB.

= Pretty much what I've been saying. Not that complicated and not far from the truth, really.

I like you, everything you post makes sense, i tottally agree with what you've said so with zamora being inconsistent and johnson who can get injured would you not think we need another striker? or maybe even 2 cb's as nelson is 34 and i dont think he can play every game...

all I ever wanted was one decent CB. You can get around the striker shortage by altering the way we set up, you can't hide when you can't defend. If you've got the money for developing a new stadium, first up it just might make a tiny bit of sense to help ensure that EPL status is safe, and for us to survive a CB was priority number one. If we're now saying we can't afford a quality defender, I'm saying we might as well forget plans for world domination...
