why is sparky playing only one up front at home , lets face it we were playing swansea. this bloke takes no blame what so ever for his poor tactics . swans just knocked the ball about with ease at the back. couldnt he see that and put on johnson or BZ to help the woeful cisse . playing mediocre teams pre season obviously didnt show him how bad we are in defence, whats he doing all week on the training field we had 3 or 4 good chances in the 1st half but hoilett and diakete didnt even hit the target and mackies shot was tame to say the least, but worst of all was taarbt

Feel sorry for Cisse. He is not a lone frontman. You cannot play the ball into him with his back to goal. That is a Zamora role. He needs the ball in front of him to run onto which in that formation he will not get. Plus he gets no service from Mackie. He needs to play upfront with Zamora and feed off him.

some fair points but cisse is a premiership player and must learn to play in whatever formation sparky puts out , his ball control today was off and he ran into trouble every time but i dont blame him , the fault lies with hughes for not having enough about him to change it

Tbf I think he was hoping with the attacking threat of Cisse, Taarabt, Hoilett & Mackie would be enough but as it turned out it didn't work.
Why wait until 60 mins to make a sub though? And then put swp right back?!
Swansea defence had the easiest day they'll ever have. Needed a Zamora presence in there to bully them a little bit.

but as people say obove. best player for a 1 up front would be big bobby z. he is a beast at holding up the ball and laying it off to on coming midfielders. (just have to look at the aresnal-tottenham-stoke games)
just a shame that he was carrying an injury.
pretty obvious though that we have all wittnesed two mark hughes mistakes.
those being signing green and sellin HH.nsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐
