Marmite players like Mackie will always divide opinion, its as simple as that.

The ones who appreciate heart and soul will like him and the footballing purists won't.

true stan but he was not the cause for our defeat. i can think of one or two players who's threads should be higher up the page than mackie.

and that is coming from me who does not even rate mackie
      nsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

On this board it is either Taarabt or Mackie that is at fault for all our ills.

There is no room for shades of grey.

Even where we're mostly agreeing they were both shite, a p***ing contest then starts to determine whether skills with no end product, or lung-busting energy with no end product, is best.

It happens for pretty much every poor performance, and no-one ever changes their mind.

Caused Swansea quite a few problems in the first half today. Worth another start next weekend
We're Queens Park Rangers and we always do things the hard way!

I thought Makie did Ok, although isolated I thing Cisse could have showed more, he always put himself in position to recieve Worldy balls which are not always possible, he should have come short, held up play and allowed JH, AD, JM, SD to get beyond him then spin in behind, that said he was not the reason we shipped 5 but his hold up play could have been better. Nevermind, at least we have the squad to bounce back
              Kept the faith!

If you watch motd back the goals came straight through the middle, swans players just ran through on to our CBs not a QPR player in sight. Dyer's 2nd the Swans player just stood there about 25yrds out and dinked the ball over the defence no challenge nothing, I know we were chasing it but we were wide open

Coz he's awful. He's midfield so where was the midfield when the defence needed them? Our defence needs every man on the pitch helping them!

I was in the west paddock yesterday and it was the usual head down run into a blind alley stuff. He wasn't our worst player at all, but he wasn't good.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Dave youv'e got it spot on ,yes the defence was poor but worse was the midfield lack of cover for the defence that said, how many players were any better than Mackie yeah he was running down blind alleys in the second half but still trying ,Hoilet disapaered into a deep m/field role in the second half [Hughses instructions?] Park did a few camio things over the 90 mins Diakti hit a few bombs at goal unluckily Tarbs well below par Fabio just about ok the subs made no impression ,did Derry come so late to say farewell or just to collect his appearence money

Mackie was dreadful yesterday, not the worst though. He was his usual self, he had his head down and offered very little out on that flank. Should have buried his chance at 1-0. He is not a starter for me at the moment. But anyway, we all love Jamie Mackie because he always 'tries'. Well he didn't yesterday!

Mackie is very much in the Gareth Ainsworth mould, can't fault his commitment and desire - just his ability.

Summed up perfectly. My point is that when Mackie starts this is all you get. This was not an unusual performance from him. You see this week in/week out when he starts on the wing. Head down, running into blind alleys losing the ball and creatively offering nothing.

He was not the worst yesterday. But it was a surprise how badly the others played. With Mackie it was more of the same. Hill/Ferdinand/Tarbs/Cisse can all play better and offer a lot more. And they will. That was what i always see from Mackie on the right flank. He should not start.

Mackie's no 1 problem is he does run with his head down and this means he has zero awareness of players around him.

Watching Routledge play reminded me of what a quality player he is.

Far to many on here thought he could only do it in the championship but the bloke ozzes glass. I was very much in the camp of signing him and I had him and williams down as the best 2 players on the pitch
