  • QPR V Swansea...

From watching the game I have come to some conclusions and I will probably get shot down for this but hey, heres How I saw it.

Rob Green had a shocking moment to let the first goal in, but despite this, I thought we were playing quite well. Hoilett was lively and I think we all thought at 1-0 we were going to equalise at some point. How Mackie missed from 6 yards is beyond me, he should of just smashed it. So Im saying that the Rob Green Mistake and the Mackie miss really set the tone for the game. Reverse what happened in those 2 situations QPR would of been 1-0 up not 1-0 down.

I think that going 4-5-1 was a mistake too, Cisse just looked isolated and had no support. I think we need someone like Zamora who works hard, causes problems and when is on the pitch is always a concern for defenders allowing space for Cisse.

Hughes needs to work out his midfield. Where Adel and JH are going to play. Maybe put Adel out on the right with Park and Diakite in the middle with Bobby and Cisse up front.

After 3-0 we did a classic Rangers and just gave up, happened a few times last season. This has to stop, Why we do it I dont know but they just think weve lost now, its doesnt matter.

Despite losing 5-0 which is a horrid result, I think there are positives to take, I know a lot of fans will be calling for MH head and going mad because we lost to swansea, but I thought in the first half we could of easily been winning the game. Rob Green needs to build his confidence he looked shaky all game and we looked poor at defending set pieces. I think maybe putting Ryan Neilson in the CB position would help with his experience and helping those around him.

Remember its only one game, and its a marathon not a sprint.

    Come on you Rssssssss

      some fair points...

i agree about cisse... swansea did their homework and gave him no chance to turn adn break on them and we had no-one near him to pick up second balls.

i thought we were a bit unbalanced as a side - too much attacking flair in midfield and defence. only diakite was a truly defensive midfielder. had we gone 1-0 up, then it's a totally different game, but we over-committed in the second half and got picked off.

i've said for most of the summer that we need to buy defenders - and i don't mean buying gallas. we need a couple of strong defenders.

green? i hope he'll improve. it's a ridiculous thing to say so early, but maybe we need to look at finding some stronger cover than murphy and cerny, just in case his confidence problem gets chronic.

that said, swansea were very professional - kept their discipline, took their chances. we played ok and had swansea been a bit less clinical (8 shots on goal, 5 goals), we'd have said we were a bit unlucky.

anyway... there's another 37 games to go.
