If he can reproduce that form, and your 137 outfielders can click (including Dyer....okay not really) you'll be laughing

Thanks for the reply - even without it I took your opinion on Rob Green as being informative. I rate Green and expect he will finally win round most of our fan base, though clearly not all. As for the rumors of Boric, it is actually not that surprising to me. We have 2 reserve keepers, one of which is totally untested at this level and the other, Cerny, has a dehabilitating long term back complaint and whilst he is a very decent back up, it wouldn't be wise to rely on him long term. Boric would be good cover and Murphy a decent understudy - but Green is and will remain the number 1 and get the chance that you and I both believe he deserves.
Good luck for the season, with the 2 obvious exceptions of course

I remember back in the 80s (I think)....when we had Jan Stejskel and Tony Roberts. Both were ok but we went through an awful period where we leaked 3 or 4 goals regularly.....we'd drop one for the other and we still shipped the goals.....perhaps this in itself indicated that the problem was elsewhere.

          • Forget Boruc, I spoke to an ex Celtic player today and he said Boruc should be left alone as he is a total head banger on and off the pitch. Think it would really hinder our season trying to sign a player who wont ffit in.

            • So is Cech now a worse GK than Rob Green after tonight's 'howler'?

                • Green.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Other than Green QPR played well?

So it was Green who lost possession over and over again or gave away stupid passes that led to goals. We can blame Green for Onouha's stray pass or Hill's attempt to cut the pass out or Fabio's pass charged down etc.

Maybe the defence don't have a lot of confidence in him...or maybe it's the other way round.

Green was poor on tour, but so were the defence and Hughes should have acted sooner to remedy these problem areas.

why is it that there are 13 weeks in pre-season to put squads together and work on tactics, yet most managers wait unril the season has kicked off to start looking at areas of the squad that need strengthening?

Warnock has an excuse last season due to the previous owners wanting out, but Hughes has had all summer with a settled and helpful Board, yet has left us with only one keeper likely to feature regularly and only 3 or 4 CB's none of them are dominant in the air two of them are in their 30s and the other two are inconsistent.

True, which is why I questioned it on another thread about pre-season.

If QPR stay in the Prem League, I think next season's pre-season will include better opposition from the top two divisions in Europe rather than Thailand and Malaysia's finest village teams!

Many fans seem to think that pre-season is just about fitness, it should be a mixture of fitness, tactics and organisation as well as a good workout to assess levels.

                              • Can't believe some fans views on not only one game but one mistake! Prob the same fans that still want to bum paddy Kenny despite this weeks antics!

No one questioned Kenny despite him making at least one mistake every match!
