Not good enough for us and never a premier league player based on what exactly, a 5 minute cameo performance as a sub in one game.........................I give you Man City away on Sunday, you know, the Champions of the Premier League against Southampton with the very same player who performed admirably for 90 minutes. When subbed in stoppage time, the expert's said he had put in a great shift, played really well and caused City plenty of problems......................but he is/was dog turd that shouldn't be in league 1, let alone the PL and with Rangers......... how dare he.
I'm not saying he was/is a world beater and I'm not saying he would have turned out to be a quality player for Rangers but the way he was slated and abused without being given even half a chance is just as sad as what's happening already with Green.Last edited by loftlag; 21-08-2012, 10:05 AM.

Can't be bothered with reading 7 pages but my only thought is, anyone who is on the keeper's back after ONE game needs their heads testing & probably hasn't a clue about football. Made a mistake in pre season & should have done better with the first goal Saturday but shall we contact OPTA to see the stats on the rest of our players? How many times we gave the ball away, lost possession, over hit passes, didn't pick up our man, mis timed a run letting in an opposing attacker??
Its embarrassing, he has pedigree & he will prove to be a very good keeper but will that happen with his OWN fans on his back? Will it f@ck!
And before anyone tries saying Paddy Kenny was a better keeper is nuts imo, the amount of cheap goals he conceded last season was shocking, diving early, diving late, slow to get across his line plus more.
Green is a QPR player lets give him the backing he deserves & clearly going by what people are saying about him at the moment needs.

It will be a long old season if he stays as our number one. My own choice in the summer was Ben Foster.

Blinkered no Green was brought in as being better on 50k a week, his track record speaks for itself,Paddy made errors but made
some great saves as well which kept us in the prem.Foster,Robinson,Al-Habsi yes but Green nononononononon...no
Save form VAN PERSIE IMMEDIATELY SPRINGS TO MIND,GO BACK FURTHER SAVE FROM YAKUBU AGAINST LEICESTER and many others some people have short memories,
Green was brought in as an improvement in my book we have just stood still at best.

Sit there upset about it all you like, write as many lists as you want of Paddys saves, from here on in Green is our keeper and we need to support him - we have ourselves a cracking keeper on the books if we can get behind him and not all jump on his back after 1 game.
Believe it or not he wasnt England number 2 for no reason. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

will forever be grateful to him for our championship season but was quite simply not up to the job in the prem. and he's proven that twice.
green, however, has already proven he's a premier league keeper with west ham. he makes one mistake for england, loses his confidence and hasnt had it back. hes not going to get it back either, not with the majority of the QPR fans on his back from pre season. but hey, we're QPR fans, thats what we do right?Top Scorers 2018/2019

Ginger, I agree that he never really got his confidence back for England, but he did for club. Many West Ham fans rave about him and one came on here saying he was the reason they got promoted... A keeper doesn't have that impact unless playing well with confidence week in week out.
If we support him he will prove to be a good asset.
