Cookie None taken, Being over run was obvious after 5 mins and hughes is paid to see it and change things, yes he did change but at 0-2 and to be fair he had to as we were chasing the game. He is very over rated as a manager as our away form tells you. Norwich this season were by far the worst team we have played and even then he couldnt work out what formation needed to beat them. I feel we should get rid as our home kept us up last year and now that has gone. Redknapp is the obvious suggestion and remember where spurs were when he took them over. Bottom in the month of October
to be fair, last week we were moaning we should never play 1 up top at home,so we play 2 and we still moan.Just saying like
yeah good point..........I think we have to play Zamora up top alone and get Adel in the team, the passes he picked out let alone the finish is enough imo for him to start
Well not bad, but very easy to say that......how many games must we loose before you think otherwise? I dont care about 2 points in 6 matches.......I care about we playing like crap with absolutely no progress at all. And again tonight our TACTICS was wrong - that has nothing to do with gelling a new squad. Slow and steady progress is all I am asking for and not this rollercoaster ride which at the moment doesnt even has any "ups"!
Zuluop you cant be serious man? No progress??? You have to be kidding mate. Swansea went #### up and we all admit that. I think we had something like 24 shots to their 7. 5 of which went in and the other 2 hit the woodwork. We got caught chasing the game second half through naive defending. Norwich we were pony all game and against Citeh we were pony first half. Then the improvement kicked in. Second half against Citeh we were much better and the better team. We were the better team throughout the match against the scuum and should really have got more out of it. Then against spuds we played the best football ive seen from a rangers team for nearly 40 years. And thats not progress??? Against Reading again we played some good football but basically its hard when we have our first choice back four out and again we were naive in our defending. That game knocked our confidence that was starting to build nicely and you could plainly see that against Wet Spam in the first half tonight and they bullied us. True Hughes got his tactics wrong in that first half but Hughes saw what was wrong and changed it at HT and we gradually started to take control of the second half. Who knows what may have happened if Sambas rashness/rawness hadn't got him sent off. The only threat they had in the second half was because we were pushing up trying to get back in the game which left us open at the back. I have no doubt we are just a win away from from going on a really good run. Admittedly that win at the moment is hard to come by but i do fancy it against the baggies and i do fancy us to beat Everton too even though theyve had a good start we always seem to do pretty well against them.
We have the players to do well but can you honestly say you have confidence in Hughes to find a system that gets the very best out of them?? There in lies our problem our away form does not lie.
we will improve, no doubt, but Hughes needs to show he is willing to adapt tactically.
Faurlin & Granero need reinforcements in the middle, which means we need to play a 3. diakite is out so that means Derry by default. that midfield lacks pace, which means Derry will have to hang back, à la Makalele.
REALISTICALLY, which serious team still plays a rigid 442? its outdated and doesn't utilize our squad well. give Taraabt a licence to roam and get Zamora holding the ball up.
if we start with SWP and Park on the flanks and 2 up front I want Hughes gone. We've got a decent squad, it just needs to be used correctly
not impressed with hughes atall. We were crying out for centre backs and we leave it until last day of transfer window. However, we've got to stick with him. We've had too many changes at managerial level over recent years.
Ripping out the whole new management stucture six games into a season is just gonna be a seamless transition is it?
It's football management, not brain surgery. Although if this goes on some people are gonna be needing the latter ;)
I repeat: if you wait until we are adrift, it will introduce a whole new set of problems - ripping out the structure will be the least of our worries then.
