Yes of course. I just mean that their price must be more than merely "Barton".

Oh. If it is true then I suspect we've offered them a shedload of dosh and not just Barton.

I'd imagine it's probably a similarly set up deal to that of Diakite...... albeit in the £6 million range.

Still a bargain in PL terms though.........

                  Me
                  Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                  And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

That would mean we get first offer. :D

                    • Barton to Marsaille, M'bia loaned in the opposite direction

Can play centre-back or defensive mid.

We're probably paying all of Mbia's wage plus a large portion of Barton's, we may also have offered a substantial loan fee (a few million) and the mbia side of the deal may include a transfer fee if he plays a certain amount of games next season or if we achieve a certain milestone next season, similar to the diakite deal. I had read a few articles last week that Marseille are looking to offload a few of their higher earners due to money issues.

Almost certainly on the right theme, they have some financial difficulties and have indeed been trying to off load a few of their high earners.
