Players without squad numbers

can we still use them or at least bench them on Saturday? If not and Zamora is out as rumoured it doesn't leave a lot on the bench does it? I know Mackie or Hoilett can play up top but surely we cd use Bothroyd or DJ on the bench? I thought you didn't have to name your 25 for a number of weeks yet so why are we making such a point of not giving squad numbers to various players? Not criticising the club as there might be a good reason, just don't know what it is.

I'd have DJ on the bench at least, not sure if he's fit enough though.

Not sure, fair point, forgot about him, but tbf he normally is injured.

You can use any of them as squad numbers don't need to be finalised till the close of the transfer window, so you could give them number 44 for instance, doesnt mean there in the squad for the season but just then

I think they still can play, as the 25 man squad is not officially named yet. Wouldn't be surprised to see DJ on the bench...I hope he is though, a long life R's fan, always dreamt of playing for his team and doing well! His face and celebration was priceless when he scored against Wolves away last season, holding up, kissing the badge and everything! Deserves a chance.
