  • How does ya significant other react to the new season?

Was wondering because, when my Missus found out tonight that the new season starts tomorrow her heart sank......

She reckons I'm a beast to live with and was seriously contemplating buying me a season ticket to get rid of me for the day on match days.... Crikey if I'd have known I'd have made sure I was a proper nightmare to have guaranteed that ST.....

I dare say there's a few on here whose partners are R's too but my Missus hates it... She humours me to a point but, she is certainly not playing ANY part of my attempts at indoctrinating our 5yr old son.... Shocking behaviour if you ask me.....

    Anyone got any similar stories?

Groans. Have delayed our departure to France to make the match. Will now have to drive through the night. Mrs Stainrod not a happy bunny.

Tried to interest her in the Bosingwa signing today but she wasn't really entering into the spirit.

Classic my man.... Nice one... I texted my 26yr old daughter last night informing her that I once attended a wedding with a very crude earphone situation and was listening to either a radio commentary or out for QPR result whilst at a wedding......

She later replied that she had spoken to her mother and the wedding in question was mine to her mother.....

Dare say that's a fairly popular response if it was a question on Family Fortunes.....

Start as you mean to go on old chap however, there's an art to keeping the other half happy(so am told anyway..) earn enough Brownie points during the week and by the weekend they've usually come around to the idea....

The only downside to the season starting is a lot less golf

Always in trouble over football. This off season I've apparently been worse than during the season!! Probably need to get out more, think the other half is getting bored with hearing about Zouma!!!!
