  • Swansea unsold tickets

They have over 1000 unsold tickets left, big ****-up on both sides here and hopefully an expensive one for Swansea.

Shame though that we gave that many, how can we increase fan base if u cannot get tickets.

Ridiculous isn't it? We're trying to grow our club then give so many to away fans. Upper school end for EVERY club no matter who it is.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Can you explain how it's a big **** up on both sides?
We are apparently obliged to offer visiting teams both tiers (quoting from the London Callin show last night). Swansea took both and are struggling to shift them. The still have to pay for returns.
So, big **** up on their part and, yes, an expensive one for them - but on our side? We HAVE to offer it so no **** up there so much as an excuse to dig out through ignorance which naffs me off if I'm honest.

in all honesty i think there will be seats in our end too - some season ticket holders won't make it tomorrow. th first game of the season is always poorly attended, around the country, due to the summer holidays.

Has anyone thought that they'll lose fans this year? They all turned up for a season in the sun but few perhaps expected them to stay up.
          Maybe they can't be arsed?
QPR, remember that name, you'll be cursing it later

Ignorance on your part, clubs have to offer 10% or 2000 tickets, whatever is the smaller.

10% of Loftus Road is 1800, upper tier is just over 1800,get your facts right before you post.

Ian Taylor - who is the senior press officer employed by QPR stated last night on the LC show that the Club are obliged to offer both tiers to every visiting premier league club - wasn't me that said it but someone involved in the running of the Club. So maybe tweet Ian Taylor and dig him out for being ignorant or, on the other hand, don't dig me out for reporting what someone inside the Club stated as a matter of fact only yesterday. There's a good chap.

It does appear old chap that indeed I was wrong,it should have read 3,000 tickets or 10% of capacity if the ground holds less than 30,0000, page 12 section 7 for your guidance.

Not my facts just the facts of the Premier league who happen to run the game, believe Taylor if you want but he is wrong.

Sorry old chap but top tier was ample.... toddle pip

If there are still 1000 unsold tickets will Swansea fans be able to pay on the day?

Do you know what the official capacity of Loftus Road is? Thought not. Do you know what 10% of 18,500 is - not a difficult sum. Do you know the difference between 1850 and the capacity of the upper tier in the away end at Loftus Road? Obviously not.
So, for your edification, the publicised capacity is 18,500 (that is the figure provided to the Premier League) and we are obliged to offer 10% of that sum. In the upper tier of the school end there are 116 restricted view seats and these seats are only available subject to safety officer approval. Irrespective of that FACT, the upper tier capacity (including the restricted views) is 1,723. That is less than 10% of capacity and is the reason the Club HAVE to offer the lower tier to every single Club that visits during the season.

Still, if you want to continue to make yourself look daft, you carry on.

The capacity now is not 18,500 any more, unless you include ex box fans, every sold out game last year,Spurs,United,Chelsea Fulham etc not one reached more than 18,100, working on your theory how have Norwich managed to give us 2,400 tickets in a ground that holds nearly 27,000, not daft just dealing in facts, on police advice you can cut allocations as was done last season at Liverpool v United, the school end removed 1000 seats a few years ago when capacity was just over 19,100.

The figure of 18,500 is the one provided last season to the league. I cannot provide the evidence to support this but it's a fact. In any event, based on the 18,100 figure you quote, 10% is still more than the capacity of the upper tier. You kindly provided the rule which states the minimum requirement and that means we have to offer the lower tier and give other clubs the option. Those are plain and simple facts - you know, like the ones you told me to get right before posting - the irony of that statement is possibly lost on you?

As for what Norwich managed to give us? How would I know what the Club chose to accept? I prefer to deal with facts, rather than speculate what the Club elects to do.

The club offer both tiers in the hope they won't have to only open half of the lower tier ( with the stupid fenced off bit) to home fans thus making less money!

Wrighty - "the stupid fenced off bit" is also down to the approval of safety officer. That is why, on occasions last season it was fenced off and others it was opened up and tickets sold. Yes, it's stupid, but it's not the Club's choice. Which was the whole point of my initial reply to the OP who sadly had to keep on digging me out. My facts however, remain precisely that.
