  • Jim and John

Early days but football we are playing is much more entertaining than some of the stuff served up last year under Paulo Sousa.

Have to say I have been very impressed with his attitude from day one.

Could Ipswich loss be our gain?

    Most definately yes!
I would prefer Jim over Keane any day.
If only the board gave him money.
I think we will fall short of the playoffs but that won't be because of Jim it will be because lack of funds. They guy should be able to bring his own striker in.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Said this in a thread a few days back, the guy is growing on me. Love his attitude. The interview when he was angry even though we won 5-0 was good to hear.

      Well done Jimmy

I'd rather wait until we've played more than one league game (which we drew at home to Blackpool) before getting the flags out.

But he comes across well, and there are some good signs.

Don't want to p*ss on anyones chips here, but it was this time last year that the Ledesma t-shirts were being printed, and we were rolling towards the Premier League under Dowie. And most were gushing over Sousa in the first few games of his reign.
Then people turned, and he was toast too.

I'd imagine that Ipswich fans aren't regretting swapping JM for Roy Keane just yet.

There, that was nice and grumpy. I feel better now.

Faurlin was a player that John Gorman had scouted for Ipswich and was a few quid to be fair.

I think they are still looking at players but want to give this lot a chance before we go out and spend some dosh on a new forward.

I still think we will add another left back and keeper before the window closes.

                it

it would be a fantastic combination of jim and john and gianni buying the players

after all routledge currently valued at four million bought by gianni for 300 000
buzsacky currently valued at five million purchased for 500 000 connolly valued at five million bought for 1 000 000

GIANNI CAN GET ALL THE BARGAINS
JIM CAN WIN GAMES BY FIVE GOAL MARGINS:red_heart:

V early days. Thought Keane looked an awesome appointment for Ipswich when they won their first game under him 3-0 but he seems to have bought some real cart-horses for quite large amounts of money - just as he did in his last season at Sunderland, including our Damien - god bless the tractor boys...

I will reserve judgement until at least 10 games.

We have only played 1 league game yet, which we should have won!
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Very true and agreed, we should have won, but the fact we didn't certainly wasn't down to him, it was due to the inept finishing of CCC level proffessional footballers missing chances that many park players would be embarrased to miss.

What is clear from Jim's Reign so far is his intent to play good quality football from the back and with style and it has created chances a plenty... Blackpool should have been in the bag after 15mins and midweek although lacklustre 1st half, what he said at half time obviously had an impact and we ran out 5-0 winners. another good sign... that he can motivate the players.

So far so good and it bodes well.
