  • Defoe revisted

I think its likely that our interest will fail on the grounds of us being unable to guarantee him a starting place in every game. What do you think ? I personally would love him to join us but I think most of you would take Cisse over him as a lone front man.Together they should be awsome.

He scored more goals than all of our strikers last season and he was an impact sub. If we was to sign him me personally would put him on the team sheet everyweek, he is still a quality striker and a natural goalscorer.
Only one of the voices in my head is crazy...

I think he is just one piece in the jigsaw at Spurs - if they offload Modric then that will presumably finance the signing of Adebayor and then Defoe may move on - its clear he doesn't really want to leave Spurs and on that basis i wouldn't sign him.

This is my concern too. Not sure I want a player who might be bitter at being forced out from a club he wants to play for. Shania correctly pointed out Joey Barton as an example of such a player. Then again, Defoe might be the kind of player who can put that behind him and relish a new challenge.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
