I asked the same question at the w/e the official answer is 1st September after the final 25 has been named but we will have a good idea on Saturday when we read the programme!
Cisse will deffo be no. 9 as he's been wearing that all pre-season, and we know Tarbs will be 10 and Park will be 7. This is what I think our first 11 will be:
1. Green
2. Diakite
3. Hill
4. Onuoha
5. Nelsen
6. Ferdinand
7. Park
8. AJ
9. Cisse
10. Taarabt
11. Faurlin
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0
I certainly wont expect Ali to be first 11 this weekend...!
He's talking about first 11 squad numbers, not starting 11. Faurlin will keep the 11 shirt number.
As a general summary, pretty much what they have worn pre season will be their numbers. the official list won't be until the window shuts, in case new signings come in, however, they will announce the known squad members before Saturday because they want people to spend more cash by adding names and numbers to their new shirts, which they won't do without any confirmation of the squad numbers.
Whatever they do annouce will have a few gaps yet to be decided if to be made up by new players, or other players currently in the squad fighting to impress MH.
we know Taarabt is 10, Park is 7 and green is one.
Cisse was also confirmed no,9
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
