              Yeah.

Sky has been a double edged sword IMO.

Yes it has brought money to the clubs, although the top teams benefit the most by far,but it has also encouraged obscene wages and has taken the game out of financial reach for alot of fans.

I do prefer the old days of clubs fielding locally born players in the majority, not some two bob African from the French league, who is not actually any better than English born players.

I think this was proved with Solomon Kalou's birthday party the other week.Chelsea players spent over £120,000 in a club.Essien spent £20,000 on a massive champagne bottle for him and Kalou don't even drink!!.

                  Terry tips the staff £10,000.

Perfect example of players just spending money for the sake of it.

These guys have nothing in common with fans anymore. When a player earns the price of a 3 bed semi in a fortnight then something is wrong.

I don't mind the best of the best like Rooney,Gerrard and Lampard earning big dough, but you have average Prem players on well over £50k a week which is ridiculous.

I agree with that, Come on how on earth is Benjani a premier league player worth millions and on about 75 g a week, Cant even get a game and doubt if he will even kick a ball this year

Nice work if you can get it.

Gary Bannister and Les Ferdinand , it seems we've not had anyone as prolific and withso much goalscoring talent since, except maybe furlong .andy thomson one season wonder , where did his career go.
