Morning all, my brother and one friend are coming from Sweden to watch the Swansea game. Although the game said 'Sold Out' on the webpage they found two single seats on the online ticketing system. I know its a family stand will they be let in? They have tickets but will be withould child .

    Very confused

No they won't mate I tried to get 5 rung the box office and they said they had 5 singles dotted around lower loft but I couldn't have them as I didn't have a junior with me . Very frustrating as due to shift work it's not viable to get a season ticket ATM . Club have really dropped a b***** in my opinion .

Let's be clear on this - the Club have not dropped one here - it isn't their decision to prevent single adult tickets being sold in the family stand so much as the Law. I think we're all agreed that the citing of the family stand is wrong, per se, but the policy regarding ticket sales is out of their hands.

Thought the online system wouldnt allow an adult to book a seat without booking an U8 or U16 with it ?

Would seem to defeat the object of moving out all those longstanding ST holders then letting in random adults without kids

If they have bought the tickets, they will get in.
Firstly the turnstiles are electronic and the stewards are only there to help if something goes wrong, and secondly if they do get asked (which won't happen) all they need to do is say that the kids went in earlier.

I think they'll get in. If not my phone is going off as they are not taking my season ticket.

Sorry mate in reply to the original poster yeah they probably will get in if they have tickets already . My frustration is aimed at the fact there will clearly be empty seats for people that want them . Also I'm assuming even if you did have a child with you the club wouldn't sell single seats to you as you'd be required to sit with the child thus needing two seats ???

On the online ticketing system there was 6 single seats. They are 18 so asked for young adult tickets, maybe thats why they were able to book.
I believe a little white lie can be told ie. I'm late and my father and little brother are already inside.

Will let you know the outcome on Saturday.

This is what baffles me on the matter tbh. Single seats dotted aorund arent sold to people without kids... So theyre expecting a parent to sit away from their child in this stand? I appreciate needing a family stand (arguement regards whether it shuold be the Lower Loft or not aside), but surely when single seats are left they should be available for purchase by any rangers fan? Seems very wrong that fans wanting to go may miss out due to such an issue.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Totally agree can't for the life of me think what the logic is here ? Have had a season ticket for years but due to a shift change at work three years ago it meant I was working a lot of weekends so it's a pick and chose situation for me until the next shift change . Just very frustrating where there are perfectly good tickets to be had . Also the club must be missing out on revenue which is bizarre to say the least !

It will be because the stand is designated for families. If they sold off these 6 single seats on the day for example any thug/loudmouth/away fan (delete as appropriate) could gain access to a family stand.

You forgot to add potential pedophile - which is why the policy exists in all Club's family areas. It's a crappy old world we live in these days

I don't see the logic of having seats purposely empty anywhere in the ground.
