I think he would make a decent left winger. Good size for the diagonal ball, decent touch, has a turn of pace and quick feet and a trick in his locker; his main problem is he does not work hard enough

Not saying he is a world beater but he has something to offer, maybe not with use, but as I said above if he had the hunger in his belly and the the will to run through walls he has shown in glimpses the ability is there

I think the Rochdale fans hat it bang on when they sung "If Bothroyd can play for England so can I"!

I'm not denying that he does ocassionally do something class, but unfortunately I can can count those moments on 2 fingers at QPR and he played virtually every game in the 1st half of last season. Furthermore he has actually been useless his whole career other than 1 season at Cardiff and even their fans say he's a lazy prima donna. I'm not sure how much more convincing is required to prove that he is a Championship player at best.

The best entertainment we had out of Bothroyd last season was when the rest of the team chopped up his Ugg boots and put the pictures on Twitter.
