proud to be british....proud to be english....proud to be a londoner!!!!!!
Don`t you think we were a bit lucky with all these gold medals because of the home factor? After the first week Team GB had NO medals or couple of bronze ones I think. Then everybody started complaining on the TV, newspapers, everywhere what was happening to our athletes, where were our medals.
As a result of those complaints bags with gold medals started coming in from all directions (sports). Even the TV Olympic games emissions were beginning with the comments: Let`s have a look, let`s see today where the medals can come from?...
Blessed from God? - ...Let`s see where we were in Beijing and where we`ll be after Rio2014 - then we can make conclusions how great we are.
How many coaches are British? How many of the athletes were born in Britain?... Or it doesn`t matter as long as we at the top of the Standings ;)
On the next Olympics - higher, in front of USA and China!
Team GB has many very, very good athletes and they deserve all medals and respect - true!
But I am not sure if we can repeat this success after 4 yrs
We were doing fine after a week. Over 20 medals in fact.
We were fourth in the medal table in Beijing. It looks like we'll finish third this time.
There's very little luck involved in this, you don't fluke a gold medal at the Olympics.
