They really are a complete waste of time arnt they as can anyone explain the logic in having them if at least some are not carried over to the next season?

An idea dreamed up by some idiot at the club

Agree, they should carry over as it shows loyalty down the years not just the current season.

Some would argue it would be harder for newer fans to get away tickets though.

the club need to take notice of this as it keeps coming up. surely the fairest system is to carry them over. i dont know how clubs with a larger following get round it . but to give everyone a clean slate cant be right

Never used a loyalty point in my life.

        They are pointless.

Thats why i now get the away season tkt coz i was fed up struggling to get through for away tkts or having to go to LR and queue. The madness started a few years ago when we played the SC*M for the first time and they wanted the stubbs from the last 2 away games and although i had been to both i had thrown them away so in the end i had to beg for stubbs from peaople who wernt going to the game. They now call them loyalty points but there a waste of time.

Depends what category of fan you fall into tbh. For those that go home and away every single week & have an away ST, loyalty points are pretty irrelevant. However, for fans that, for example, have a home ST and do a few away game sbut not every single 1, the loyalty points system ensures they get a ticket ahead of a Johnny come lately that has only been to a few games and wants a ticket for a biggy.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I agree, some people may not be able to afford a home st but could have an away st as they get charged for individual tkts when released. There are ways around it though as you must have a mate who is a home st holder and ask them to add the away to theres and you just pay for the tkt.

                  This.

The stupid thing about loyalty points is that you get them by going to games. But you can' t go to games without loyalty points!

I had a ST for years, and when we was really pony! But now I can't come to every single home game due to work as trying to get your own company off the ground and alot of customers want/need you to work weekend instead. But even due to this I only missed about 6 games last year but this year I have nothing to show for it as can only renew membership and again struggle to get tickets for 'big' away games . Last year I missed Arsenal away due to not having enough loyalty points but yet managed to get tickets for alot less glamorous away games. I think your loyalty points shouldnt be for having a Home ST, you should only get loyalty points for travelling away IMO

I wouldnt, personally, say "only" for going away as then we would have other peoples stories of missing out despite going to every home game. But I do agree that such "unglamorous" games, ie WIgan away, should have a bit of clout when it comes to loyalty points. People that go to such games should never miss out on the more glamorous games, ie Arsenal away, doesnt seem fair at all.

PS: Hope the business is going well Oompah What is it you do, purely out of nosiness?
