Reputedly about 80K a week? My view is that in an ideal world, if he was at the end of his contract, we should both move on - and apart. But the simple facts are that he has another 3 years contracted, and in any case it would not be easy to persuade another club to take him on a deal that would make it worth his while.

So. So that is the position and we have to make the best of it. This means keeping him on board, and hoping he will start to turn in the sort of performances we know he is capable of. He clearly has personality and anger management issues and we have to help him continue to deal with them Somewhere in there is a very decent bloke struggling to get out, and a very decent player too. If he can fulfil his potential on the pitch it will help him fulfil his potential off the pitch. That's the simplest way I can put it.

Tosh. Started out reported at 60k then every time he hits the headlines the papers add 5k to it. Not ITK about players wages at all but I find it very hard to believe he would be on a basic of any more than 55k tbh.
