That said, I think the story about Hughes is nonsense. Sure, he was pi**ed off. We all saw that on TV. But it is not up to the coach whether a club employee is sacked or not It's one for the lawyers and agents to squabble over.

Fact is, we can't afford to sack Joey Barton, so get used to seeing him play in a hooped shirt again.
