Top pro and had a couple of great years, but I think this is best all round tbf.

I will always remember on Talkport at some point last season Danny Kelly was talking about HH after a brutal encounter and made the point more than once that on the field he is a warrior no holds barred player but off it you couldn't wish to meet a nicer person.

    Fair play I thought.

Good luck HH and thanks for the good times. Without your quality last year we'd be a Championship side this season I expect.

Just hope he gets the chance to play against us at home (maybe cup).....so we can let him know our appreciation. I don't get to more than half a dozen home games in all honestly but I'm sure the faithful would let him know.

Best of luck Heider. Its not often a Rangers player leaves with no one having a bad word to say about him.

Interesting comment about the pens I think its a toss up between him and Andy Thomson he took a mean pen too, as did Willo

Cardiff have got themselves a diamond of an iceman. He will be in his element in the championship.
Good luck to him. And if he ever comes back to our gaff im sure we will give him a standing ovation like Gareth received.

We wouldn't of gotten promoted or stayed up without his goals. Not to mention that penalty against the scum, so long Heidar you'll never be forgotten in W12. QPR legend!
We're Queens Park Rangers and we always do things the hard way!

A shame but at his age not a massive loss. Take him over Bothroyd any day though. Thanks Heidar.

and arguably as good as the Fulham pair who... it was always on the cards there would be a massive clear out of strikers at some point. Personally I reckon there's deader wood up front to get shot of but cover needed in case Cisse is out.

Heidar Helguson – Portrait of a Flawed Club Legend

The news broke on Wednesday evening that Heidar Helguson had departed Queen’s Park Rangers to join Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee. Given the enmity existing between the two sides – following Rangers Championship win two years ago and Cardiff’s play-off final success – it would be akin to treason to wish for the Icelandic striker to score a hatful in the blue, sorry red, of the Bluebirds. Supporters form strange attachments to certain footballers. Some are loved because they … Continue reading →
