Personally I'm sorry to see Helguson go but it does make sense. He's 35 and had a lot of injuries, look how long it took him to come back from a not too serious injury last season. If Cardiff want to take over the last year of his contract it makes sense for all parties!

Very sad to see him leave Although I hadn't realised he was as old as 35 now...
Amazing to think how far we've all come since he was the fan's big scapegoat.
Hope (but not certain) that that nagging feeling that we'd be better off with him than Zamora will be disproved.
And boy am I really going to miss those heart stopping, nonchalant penalties.
Thanks for everything Iceman!

HERO, I actually really disliked him at the start & he's left a hero, I'll always remember his game again Stoke, best of luck HUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Gutted about this. Far more effective than Bothroyd and Campbell but I suppose at his age he just wanted to play as much as he can.
I played over in Iceland this summer and he is a God out there.
He is up there with Sir Les as the best header of the ball I have seen in all my years following Rangers.
A really top bloke who was great at player of the year dos. He was totally smashed at the one when we got promoted!
And he is most certainly the best penalty taker I have seen at QPR.
Baaaaaardiff have got themselves a top player who will give everything for them.
I wish him well.First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.
