  • More truth to this 'Global QPR' stuff than I initially thought?

Wearing my Hoops shirt while on holidays in Philadelphia and a local came up to me there to comment on it saying that he had recently watched The Four Year Plan, I was fairly surprised! Only thing is that the Four Year Plan makes QPR out to be a shambles of a club run by gangsters to someone who knows nothing else about the club

Strangely The Four Year Plan was also one of the TV shows included in the onboard entertainment on my flight from Heathrow to Newark!
"Imagine a relationship that went wrong but you held on in there for years: that's what it is like supporting a football team. Your loyalty to a team can never die. Ties are stronger than they could ever be with a woman. If she goes and sleeps with your best mate, it's over. If the Rs' boss, Ian Holloway, slept with my best mate, QPR would still be my team. Even if many of the things that you loved about going to matches have gone - terraces, team shirts without sponsors and being able to smoke at grounds - you still stick with your team." - Peter Doherty.

Just wish we'd had a good shirt designed before half of Asia bought one.

                    Huh?
If the shirt is shyte nobody will buy it.
But, if half of Asia has bought it, then it cannot be all that bad, can it.

When I see a QPR shirt in Hounslow I'll know we've truely cracked the global market.

I think we will see what we saw last season.
A lot of people on this site criticising the look of the home strip, yet, many people, young and old, wearing the new home shirt on matchdays.

And how do you know how many shirts we have sold in Asia? I would love to see the figures.

Everytime I go to Asia - all I see is fake shirts anyway. Park is not the Asian David Bekham as some people are saying - he is big in his own country. I went to three countries in asia when he was at his peak and never saw a single picture, poster or anything of him anywhere.

We also don't get ANY increased money from being shown more overseas as that is not how the deal works, unlike the UK deal - we are not going to suddenly generate loads of money from asia. They don't tend to like small clubs either - we have a long, long way to go.
