Very surprised no-one has nominated Russ Abbot's Atmosphere
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

London Calling would be a particularly good shout because of The Clash's Westway origins. I think Mick Jones was always Rs and the whole West London punk scene had plenty of R enthusiasts, I think Pete D referred to this somewhere. Before P'bello and the whole NHG area went corporate - which started a lot longer ago than people think, ie back in the 80s - that part of N.Kensington was always R territory. The problem with that particular song is that another London club has better claims to the line

" I....... LIVE BY THE RIVER!"

btw Lemmy lived in ELGIN crescent back in his heyday, Ace of Spades?

Foolem are way ahead of us, their players requested a song to trot out to when they're away from home too.In the end they all agreed this was the most appropriate one for them!!!

                      yeah childish i know!!

Maybe we could sing London Calling to the "live by the riverrr" and then the guitar bit, and then start chanting RANGERS! RANGERS! RANGERS! ..... Something like that
