I think MH has a bit of sympathy for Barton the player. Our manager wasn't exactly a shrinking violet himself as a player. Perhaps the trip to Fleetwood is a lesson in humility for Barton where he'll train alongside ordinary footballers not big time Charlies. He's played at the top level for most of his career and a small dose of realism will be good for him.
I hope he comes back a better person and a more focused player.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

probably his fans booing him...when he was overplayed and burnt out.....this is elite sport
JB expends the same energy as a marathon runner every match
JB played a big part in our survival is a great player ....is totally loyal..aware of his faults...
accepts with humility....has stated he wants to stay at qpr....
no one was injured,,,,,,unlike so many violent incidents down the years
maybe some barton fans can help with examples of dispicable violent behaviour on the pitch leading to injury
i bet it would be a long list
both reds JB picked up were not his fault..fact...and his record with toon...disciplinary was good
media witch hunt

It wasn't worth the x million pounds it would have cost us. If we can find someone else to take him at some point, we may have to pay him till then, but should avoid paying up his contract.
And as Joey has said it's not about the money, he should be OK with that.
The only reason he isn't sacked is because we are getting him into a position where he has some value back and we can offload him and get money for an asset.

You could be right.
Hopefully you are.
