According to the Guardian QPR are interested in Andy Carroll. Seems unlikely for more reasons than I can be bothered to type.

I like him as a player, can't see him fitting in our team though. Not to mention far too expensive.

Good grief and to think that journalists get well paid to write that kind of crap

Don't blame the writers. On any news website the most popular pages are always football transfer rumours. If the writers didn't stick a new one up every day they'd lose hundreds of thousands of views and get screamed at by their bosses. And in the Guardian's defence, at least they've got a sense of humour about it. They'll often remark on how ridiculous the whole transfer situation is.

Re Carroll: he linked up extremely well with Joey at Newcastle. Worth bearing in mind I suppose.

Would be seriously worried about our financial situation if we signed him, he's on a massive wage.

Would improve the squad, although ages ago I said we should go for Lukaku who is being heavily linked with Fulham. I know who I'd rather have..

I can't see Hughes going for Carroll anyway, as I've heard various things about Carroll's unprofessionalism.

Not quite. Zamora is a targetman. AC is a targetman AND a goalscorer.

oh yeah he really rattled them in last season didn't he? Is that why most Liverpool fans wanted him out?

He started to score when Liverpool and England begun to play at his strengths.
