  • Looking at our squad right now ....

With one or two additions we should be aiming for a place around 12th.
Maybe with a lot of believe and a bit of luck top 10 finish.

Hoping MH gets the squad accomplished to play several systems like 3-5-2 , 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 along with some decent set pieces.
Cause to me there was a great deal of uncomforted last season and resulting in bad results due to having no plan B and set pieces which made you feel ashamed.

Further hoping those young guns like Doughty, Harriman, Ehmer and Andrade can finally press their face against the window and show squad players they are ready to step in and give them competition so it won't look easy business to be in the team or squad.

    From Holland with love

There were only seven points separating 14th and 8th last season.

    Green

    Onuoha Ferdinand Hill Fabio

    Diakite Faurlin

    Park Taarabt Hoilett

    Cisse

Not half bad is it? Better options from the bench this season too with Traore, Zamora, Johnson, Barton (eventually), Mackie, SWP and Helguson all potentially there if they're not starting. Exciting times.

That's a really good team, I just cant see MH playing with 1 striker, leaving Cisse & Zamora, Cisse & Johnson or Johnson & Zamora on the bench if the are fully fit.

Whatever we play, I think we are nailed on for a top 10 finish.

That's not a bad side at all. Now here's a question. Is Traore a better LB than Ned is a RB? I'm still of the opinion that Fabio has been brought in as a RB. If so, my defence would be:

        Fabio Ferdinand Hill Traore.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I don't find Traore particularly convincing as a LB and I'm not sure Hughes does either if he bought Taiwo in last season. I wouldn't be surprised if we sign a full-back. I guess the great thing about the squad at the moment though is we seem to have some pretty versatile players.

Onahura is MH's player will be play RB ahead of Fabio, who I think was been brought in as Taiwo was not going to sign. If you look at the timeline, Fabio was going to Benfica, there were rumours of Taiwo not signing fo us, Fabio has a change of heart and says he wants to stay in the PL, then signs for us. probably all ********, but that's why I think he will be playing left back.

IMO, Traore is a winger and I would play him there all day long ahead of anyone we already have, or are rumored to get.

I'd start like this against Swansea. Although our defence scares the sh*t out of me. Need another CB

              Green

              Fabio Ferdinand Hill Traore

              Diakite Park

Setting yourself up for a fall there imo. The team Felt posted contains 7 players from the team that finished 4th bottom. Yes with a good pre season and some new signings, we can expect an improvement. But a "nailed on" top 10 finish - lets not get ahead of ourselves!

Hasn't Fabio been playing mainly on the right on the Asia tour?

Against the Swans I would go 4-4-2 cos its at home so need to attack them.

                    Onuoha Ferdinand Hill Fabio

                    Park Diakite Taarabt Hoilet

                    Cisse Zamora

The bench would scare most teams !!

                      That would be mine also.

Fabio is not a left back... he is a RB but has played LB becasue his brother only played RB. I'm sure if he was bought in for LB he'd have played there at least once in pre season, but hasn't he's been RB every time.

also with that formation i can see a bit of a Barca set up against poorer sides or when we are on top in games with the FB's pushing right up, and they are great going forward, with the 2 CB's opening out more and the DMF players (Faulrin when fit and poss Diakite / Barton / Derry / Park) sitting slightly deeper ready to plug the hole if hit on the counter.

Ferdinand is a weak link in my opinion.

Not sure about a top 10 finish.
Back 4 is basically the same and keeping clean sheets last season was big problem.
Still think we need a top class centre half

Agreed...I remember Sunderland at home and thinking they were going to score from every corner..

A commanding centre half is the missing piece in our very own hoops jigsaw......
