Everybody was kung-fu fighting after the Chinese Olympic team's friendly with QPR ended in fisticuffs.

Only just thought about this for the first time in years, one of the funniest incidents involving the R's in a while
"Imagine a relationship that went wrong but you held on in there for years: that's what it is like supporting a football team. Your loyalty to a team can never die. Ties are stronger than they could ever be with a woman. If she goes and sleeps with your best mate, it's over. If the Rs' boss, Ian Holloway, slept with my best mate, QPR would still be my team. Even if many of the things that you loved about going to matches have gone - terraces, team shirts without sponsors and being able to smoke at grounds - you still stick with your team." - Peter Doherty.

I was actually thinking about this the other day too. I would imagine the current owners won't be making reference to this incident during their PR campaign in the Far East!

May not help things alright. What a shambolic period that was for the club, hard to believe we are where we are now in such little time, part of me misses the sheer comedy of some of the situations we got ourselves into back then though!

Keeping with the Far East theme and where we were then we must not forget that poor Vietnamese student who got killed on the tracks at Earls Court Tube during what was described in court as horsepaly by some members of the QPR Youth team

I'd forgotten all about that, that was awful, we really haven't done the Far East any favours in our past!

Who was the fitness coach at the time seem to recall he was Lennox Lewis's trainer before coming to QPR? Hence the Tiddly ended up asleep with a broken jaw.

Police were called after the game at Rangers' training ground was halted following a mass brawl in which China's Zheng Tao was knocked unconscious.
