Nedum Onuoha has paid tribute to the Indonesian football fans - dubbing last night's atmosphere in Surabaya as the 'best he's ever played in.'
Over 55,000 supporters were packed into the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, as Rangers came from behind to round off their Asia Tour in style with a 2-1 victory against Persebaya.
Adel Taarabt and Bobby Zamora scored the all-important goals, but it was the atmosphere as opposed to the game itself that was the major talking point in the post-match interviews.
A convoy of over 1,000 motorbikes followed the R's to the stadium, before Rangers were greeted on their arrival by a near-capacity crowd.
Flares, fireworks, chants and even a stadium black-out added to the incredible atmopshere throughout the 90 minutes.
"That's the best atmosphere I've ever played in," Onuoha told www.qpr.co.uk.
"It was incredible from the moment we left the hotel to make our way to the ground, but the atmosphere inside the stadium itself was unreal.
"It's great to see how passionate the fans are out here and that's one thing that has really hit home throughout this tour.
"It wasn't intimidating, because they were friendly in their manner and just really wanted to support their team.
"It wasn't really hostile, just incredibly loud, passionate and exciting."
The R' head back to London later today, landing at Heathrow in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
After 12 days on tour and experiences aplenty, Onuoha insists his first trip to this part of the world is one he will never forget.
"I won't forget this trip for a long, long while," he said.
"Some of the things I've seen and heard will stay with me forever.
"The passion the Asian fans have for football is incredible, and that was epitomised by the Indonesian people last night."
