  • Cisse's injury

Any news? The lastest was that he may be rested for 7-10 days.

And that's all we will know until the end of next week, when Djib has his next check-up. The consensus of opinion in the camp, is that Djib will be OK. Let's hope so.

Cisse put on twitter he went for a scan & it's not very bad, should be back soon
        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I'm concerned if Cisse were to be out, we'd not carry much of a goal threat. Anyone else worried about that?

              You've answered your own question.

Yepp, A bit. We have to get another goalscorer.

We seem to be getting linked with strikers more and more lately. I'm hoping it's on the cards. I know that all the strikers have been weighing in with goals lately, but they won't find it so easy in the Prem.

I think Diakite might weigh in with a few goals from midfield though.

If we get KI and Hoillett, I think both of them will be able to chip in a few as well. But to be honest, I find it a bit odd that DJ. Campbell doesn´t seem to get a fair chance under Hughes at all. I mean, This year I think we will play more with the ball at our feet and according to how DJ. turned out to be a success under Holloway, I cant see why he shouldn´t warrant a place in the squad/team under Hughes as well.
But ok,despite having raised my opinion on DJ., I will ofcourse welcome Berbatov, RSC or EVEN Defoe with open arms, make no mistake about it!:=):

I think Bobby will actually shine more this season under Hughes, so I guess if Cisse is injured Andy Johnson might chip in with a few goals as he does work well with Zamora. Heidur can also come in and score at PL level. And Betty is still to prove himself. I really don't think he rates DJ at all, so I'd imagine he's gone. I guess our strikeforce isn't that bad, just Cisse has spoiled us!

Ki seems to excel more as a deep lying playmaker, so I can't see him chipping in with many goals as he'll be pulling the strings in a withdrawn role. Although my hope is, that he will provide some assists from set pieces. That's if he signs of course.

I guess we'll hope Hoilett, Mackie and Tarbs etc can add a few this season too.

With all the talent we have now on display, surely we cannot rely on one player only. Cisse is important to us, but we have goals in us from elsewhere as well. Things looking bright. Have fate.
