  • I think all of our new Korean fans are in for a surprise when they come to Loftus Rd.

It's a traditional old football ground, and if they sit in the loft they will hear a lot of saracastic and humerous songs about our own Korean players
they will either love it and see it like tourists see South Central LA when they drive through with armoured vans and take photos or they'll be scared off!

To sum up: Celtic wants 7M from us to release Ki.
We are on the table saying "no way the maximum is 6M"
Ki accepted the offer from us.
All that is left is the final deal to be decided between Celtic and QPR.
An agent says Ki will confirm the signing once the deal is done between Celtic and QPR.
Liverpool and Aston Villa Jumped in to steal Ki from us.
But it seems they are from just rumour-level articles.

It means we are leading the way.
Many thanks for translating it for us. This always happens when a club comes into some money. It started with Blackburn 20 odd years ago. As soon as they expressed interest in a player, the price doubled. He is talented by all accounts but hope our club are tough in negotiations. £7m would be enough to buy Celtic half a team, or Glasgow Rangers for that matter...

          • According to Dailymail, it seems Ki is very close to signing us.

Ji-sung Park's agent's son told people that he can't give any specific details but he provided a hint of information.

            which is:

It has been confirmed that the writer is the son of J.S. Park's agent.

Looks like there is no other clubs even having this sorta information on twitter.

QPR is the only one at least showing some progresses.

              • Ki is possibly not going to be available until mid August (because of the Olympics), so there is no hurry to sign him.

                • Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng denies he will be unveiled by QPR next week
                  Written by TheGoalReporter

The South Korean states that his focus is on the Olympics, and offered up compatriots Lee Chung-Yong and Park Chu-Young as the possible Loftus Road target instead.

He just wants to focus on Olympics for now. We will have to wait a long time XD

                  • Ki Sung-yueng of Scottish Premier League outfit Celtic was named one of seven Olympic footballers to watch by the British daily the Guardian on Sunday.

"He is already a key player for his country, having earned 45 caps for the senior side, so a strong showing in London this summer could earn the Celtic midfielder a lucrative move to the Premier League," the paper said.

Ki is one of Korea's leading players and Manager Hong Myung-bo has high hopes pinned on him as the Olympics begin later this month.

Ki has spent three seasons at Celtic, but he seems destined to soon join ex-Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung at Queens Park Rangers next season in London. Celtic and QPR are reportedly in the final stage of talks over Ki's transfer fee.

But Ki, who left for Britain on Sunday, remains focused on the job at hand. "The goal is to win Korea's first Olympic medal in football," he said before departing from Incheon International Airport.
